1. Jr. Draughtsman (Mech.): 46 posts.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent and must have passed the “National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination in the Trade of ‘Draughtsman’ in Mechanical Stream conducted by NCVT
2. Jr. Planner Estimator (Mech.): 18 posts.
Qualification: SSC / HSC with full time three years Diploma with aggregate 55% marks or full time Degree with pass class in Mechanical (Mechanical/Mechanical & Industrial Engg./Mechanical & Production Engg./Production Engg.) or Marine Engineering.
3. Jr.Planner Estimator(Elec./Electronics): 9 posts.
Qualification: SSC / HSC with full time three years Diploma with aggregate 55% marks or full time Degree with pass class in Electrical ( Electrical / Power Engineering / Electrical & Electronics/Electrical & Instrumentation) / Electronics (Electronics / Electronics & Communication /Allied Electronics & Instrumentation /Electronics & Telecommunication) or Marine Engineering
4. Jr. Q C Inspector (Mech.): 23 posts.

5. Jr. Q C Inspector (Electrical): 2 posts.
Qualification: SSC / HSC with full time three years Diploma with aggregate 55% marks in Electrical ( Electrical / Power Engineering / Electrical & Electronics/Electrical & Instrumentation) or Marine Engineering.
6. Store Keeper: 18 posts.
Qualification: SSC / HSC with full time three years Engineering Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Computer engineering .Additional qualification in Material Management & Knowledge of Computer will be Preferred.
7. Pharmacist: 1 post.
Qualification: SSC / HSC with full time D. Pharm / B. Pharm.
8. Fitter: 74 posts.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent examination and must have passed the “National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination” in the trade of “Fitter”. The candidate who have worked in MDL/Shipbuilding industry as a Fitter for minimum one year but undergone Apprentice Training in any other trade can apply for the post of Fitter directly.
9. Strl. Fabricator: 405 posts.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent examination and National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination passed in the trade of “Structural Fitter / Fabricator”. The candidate having National Apprenticeship Certificate examination passed in “Sheet Metal Worker” trade will be considered for “Trainee Structural Fabricator”.
10. Pipe Fitter: 93 posts.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent examination and the National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination passed in the trade of “Pipe Fitter” or Passed SSC or equivalent examination conducted by a Board recognised by the Government and National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination passed in the trade of “Plumber” and having one year experience in MDL/Ship-building industry as a Plumber may apply for the Post of Pipe fitter directly. Candidate who have passed SSC with ‘NAC’ in Plumber trade without Shipbuilding experience can apply for the post of “Trainee Pipe fitter”
11. Brass Finisher: 9 posts.
Qualification: The candidate who have worked in MDL/Shipbuilding industry as a Brass Finisher but have undergone apprenticeship training in any trade can apply for the post of Brass Finisher directly. Candidate who have passed ‘NAC’ in the trade of “Machinist” without Shipbuilding experience can apply for the post of “Trainee Brass Finisher”
12. Electronic Mechanic: 35 posts.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent examination and National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination passed in the trade of “Electronic Mechanic”.
13. Electrician: 20 posts.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent examination and the National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination passed in the trade of “Electrician”.
14. Electric Crane Operator: 10 posts.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent examination and having one year experience in MDL/ Ship-building industry as Electric Crane Operator may apply for the post of Electric Crane Operator directly. Candidates who have passed NAC in Electrician trade may be considered as “Trainee Electric Crane Operator” subject to suitability.
15. Diesel Crane Operator: 2 posts.
Qualification: National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination in the trade of “Diesel Mechanic” with valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence and having one year experience in MDL/ Ship-building industry as Diesel Crane Operator may apply for the post of Diesel Mechanic directly. Candidates having passed SSC and passed NAC examination in the trade of Diesel Mechanic may apply for the post of “Trainee Diesel Crane Operator ”.
16. Diesel Cum Motor Mechanic: 8 posts.
Qualification: Passed SSC & the National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination passed in “Diesel Mechanic/Motor Vehicle Mechanic” trade
17. AC Ref. Mechanic: 4 posts.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent examination and National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination passed in the trade of “Refrigeration and Air Conditioning”.
18. Machinist: 5 posts.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent examination and National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination passed in the trade of “Machinist”.
19. Millwright Mechanic: 11 posts.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent examination with National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination passed in the trade of “Millwright Mechanic / Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance”.
20. Comp. Attendant: 7 posts.
Qualification: Candidates who have passed SSC & NAC in Millwright Mechanic or Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance and worked in MDL/ Shipbuilding Industry as a Compressor Attendant for minimum one year may apply for the post of Compressor Attendant. Candidates having passed SSC and passed NAC examination in the trade of Millwright Mechanic or Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance may apply for the post of “Trainee Compressor Attendant”.
21. Painter: 33 posts.
Qualification: Passed VIII std and the National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination passed in the trade of “Painter”.
22. Carpenter: 10 posts.
Qualification: Passed VIII std and the National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination passed in the trade of “Carpenter”.
23. Composite Welder: 137 posts.
Qualification: Passed VIII std and the National Apprenticeship Certificate examination passed in the trade of “Welder / Welder (G&E)”
24. Rigger: 137 posts.
Qualification: Passed VIII std and the National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination passed in the trade of “Rigger”.
25. Utility Hand Skilled: 2 posts.
Qualification: Candidates for this posts will be selected from Fitter Trade only. Candidates need not to apply separately for this post.
SEMI-SKILLED GRADE-III (IDA -4A)
26. Security Sepoy: 14 posts.

27. Lascar: 12 posts.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent examination AND General Purpose (GP) rating course with one year experience as Crew on board Tug/Launch/Vessel of 226 BHP or above. Knowledge of Swimming is Compulsory. OR Non GP rating with 3 year experience as Crew on board Tug/Launch/Vessel of 226 BHP or above. Knowledge of Swimming is Compulsory.
SEMI-SKILLED GRADE-I (IDA-2)
28. Fire Fighter: 31 posts.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent examination with Diploma / Certificate in Fire Fighting of minimum six months duration. Candidates must possess a valid Heavy Duty Vehicle Licence.
29. Utility Hank (Semi-skilled): 66 posts.
Qualification: Candidates who have passed SSC with NAC in any trade and have worked in Shipbuilding industry as Utility Hand for minimum period of one year may apply for the post. Candidates having passed SSC and NAC examination conducted by NCVT in the trade of Motor Vehicle Body Builder / Tool & Die Maker(Allied trade)/ Motor Vehicle Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic and Instrument Mechanic may apply for the post of “Utility Hand”.
30. Chipper Grinder: 60 posts.
Qualification: Candidates who have passed SSC and NAC in any trade and have worked in Shipbuilding industry as Chipper Grinder for minimum period of one year may apply for the post directly. Candidates having passed SSC with NAC examination conducted by NCVT in the trade of Machinist / Machinist (Grinder) / Turner may apply for the post of “Trainee Chipper Grinder”.

Age Limit: 18 years to 33 years as on 01.02.2015. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), 10 years for PWD- Un-reserved (UR), 13 years for PWD-OBC(Non-Creamy Layer) and 15 years for PWD-SC/ST candidates. Upper age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen and others, if any, will be as per norms. See officially released advertisement for more details.
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test/ Trade Test and Interview. For the posts at Sr.No 1 to 6 Written Test will be conducted followed by Interview and for the rest of all other post Interview will be conducted followed by Trade Test.
Exact date and time of candidates’ selection will be intimated through Call Letter. The list of eligible candidates will be available in the official website of Mazagon Dock as well as on company’s notice board on 27/03/2015.
The engagement to the above said posts will be on Contract Basis for a maximum period of two years.
