Educational Qualification: SSC or equivalent examination and must have passed the “National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination in the Trade of ‘Draughtsman’ in Mechanical Stream.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-33 years as on 01/09/2016

2. Junior Planner Estimator (Mechanical): 01 Nos. (ST-01)
Educational Qualification: SSC / HSC with full time three years Diploma with aggregate 55% marks or full time Degree with pass class in Mechanical (Mechanical/Mechanical & Industrial Engg./Mechanical & Production Engg./Production Engg.) or Marine Engineering
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-33 years as on 01/09/2016

3. Junior Quality Inspector (Mechanical): 03 Nos. (OBC-02, ST-01)

Knowledge of Computer will be Preferred.

5. Fitter: 02 Nos. (ST-02)
Educational Qualification: SSC or equivalent examination and must have passed the “National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination” in the trade of Fitter.
Candidate who have worked in MDL/Shipbuilding industry as a Fitter for minimum one year but undergone Apprentice Training in any other trade can apply for the post of Fitter directly

6. Structural Fabricator: 13 Nos. (OBC-13)
Educational Qualification: SSC or equivalent examination and National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination passed in the trade of “Structural Fitter / Fabricator”.
Candidate having National Apprenticeship Certificate examination passed in “Sheet Metal Worker” trade will be considered for “Trainee Structural Fabricator”.

7. Rigger: 28 Nos. (OBC-26, ST-02)

8. Compressor Attendant: 01 Nos. (OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: SSC & NAC in Millwright Mechanic or Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance and worked in MDL/ Shipbuilding Industry as a Compressor Attendant for minimum one.
Candidates having passed SSC and passed NAC examination in the trade of Millwright Mechanic or Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance may apply for the post of “Trainee Compressor Attendant”.

9. Brass Finisher: 01 Nos. (OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: Candidate who have worked in MDL/Shipbuilding industry as a Brass Finisher but have undergone
apprenticeship training in any trade can apply for the post of Brass Finisher directly.
Candidate who has passed ‘NAC’ in the trade of “Machinist” without Shipbuilding experience can apply for the post of “Trainee Brass Finisher”.

SEMI SKILLED GRADE-III (IDA-4A)
16. Security Sepoy (Ex-servicemen):02 Nos. (OBC-01, SC-01)
Educational Qualification: SSC or equivalent examination OR passed Indian Army class – I examination or equivalent examination in the Navy or Air Force and has put in at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union and is

GP rating certificate issued by DG shipping approved institutes will be considered. Knowledge of Swimming is Compulsory OR Non GP rating with 3 year experience as Crew on board Tug/Launch/Vessel of 226 BHP or above. Knowledge of Swimming is Compulsory.

Educational Qualification: SSC with NAC in any trade and have worked in Shipbuilding industry as Utility Hand for minimum period of one year.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-33 years as on 01/09/2016
Consolidated Pay: Rs.6000/- pm for First year and Rs.6060/- pm for Second year per month.
20. Chipper Grinder: 04 Nos. (OBC-04)
Educational Qualification: SSC and NAC in any trade and have worked in Shipbuilding industry as Chipper Grinder for minimum period of one year.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-33 years as on 01/09/2016
Consolidated Pay: Rs.6000/- pm for First year and Rs.6060/- pm for Second year per month.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test and Trade Test.
Desirable Experience for all above posts: Work experience in the relevant trade/function in a Shipbuilding industry for minimum one year duly certified by their Personnel Department is desirable.
Candidates selected as Trainee Compressor Attendant & Trainee Brass Finisher will be on job training for four months. During the training period trainee will be paid a stipend of Rs.5000/- per months.
