1. FIREMAN
No. of Vacancies: 09 Nos. (UR-05, SC-01, ST-01, OBC-02. Out of which, 01 post is reserved for ESM, 01 post for PH & 01 post for MSP)

Educational Qualification: i) 10th Standard pass of equivalent from a recognized Board.
ii) Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers, hose fittings and fire appliances and equipment fire engines, trailer, pumps and foam branches.
iii) Must be familiar with the use and maintenance of first-aid fire fighting appliances and Trailer Fire Pump.
iv) Must know elementary principles of Fire Fighting methods employed in fighting different types of fire.
v) Must be conversant with foot and appliance Fire Service Drills and be able to perform the task allotted to the members of fire crew.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
Pay: Rs.19,900/- per month.

 

2. FIRE ENGINE DRIVER
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR)

Educational Qualification: 10th Standard pass of equivalent from a recognized Board.
Experience: Must have at least 03 years experience of driving heavy vehicles and be in possession of valid driving licence.
Desirable: i) Should be familiar with maintenance and operation of various types of fire appliances.
ii) Experience of having worked in a regular civil or Defence Fire Brigade as Fireman Grade I or Senior Fireman.
iii) Should have passed the general Fire Fighting Course from Defence Institute of Fire Research, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi or the Sub-Officers Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur or any other similar recognized course.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
Pay: Rs.21,700/- per month.

 

3. INDUSTRIAL MAZDOOR
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (OBC)

Educational Qualification: 10th Standard pass of equivalent from a recognized Board.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
Pay: Rs.18,000/- per month.

 

Only Male candidates are eligible to apply.

The selected candidates will be on Probation for two years. The candidates will be posted at Akhnoor and Rajouri (Jammu & Kashmir).

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

 

Physical Standards:

(i) Male Candidates: Height — 165 cms (162.5 cms for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 81.5 cms; Chest (expanded) — 85 cms; Weight — 50 kgs.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test, Practical Trade Test, Physical Fitness Test and Endurance Test.
