A) Senior Resident
i) For Anaesthesia, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Community Medicine, Dermatology, General Surgery, Internal Medicine/ General Medicine, Medical Microbiology, Obst. & Gynae., Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pathology, Pharmacology, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Radio-diagnosis, Radiotherapy, ENT Departments:-
a) A Medical qualification.
b) The candidate must be registered with the State/ Central Medical Council.
c) A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D./ M.S. in the subject of speciality concerned of a recognized University or qualifications recognized equivalent thereto.
ii) For Oral Health Science Centre/ Dentistry Departments:-
a) A recognized Dental qualifications.
b) The candidate must be registered with the Central/ State Dental Council.
c) Postgraduate qualifications in the speciality concerned viz., M.D.S. in any of the speciality of Dentistry of a recognized University or its equivalent qualifications.
iii) For Forensic Medicine Department:-
a) A Medical qualification.
b) The candidate must be registered with the State/ Central Medical Council.
c) A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD (Forensic Medicine) OR MD (Pathology) OR MD/ MS (Anatomy) OR MS (General Surgery) of a recognized University or qualifications recognized equivalent thereto.
iv) For Hospital Administration Department:-
a) A Medical qualification.
b) Must be registered with the Central/ State Medical Council.
c) A Postgraduate degree i.e. MD/ MS OR a recognized qualification equivalent thereto, in any medical discipline OR Master Degree in Hospital Administration from a recognized Institute/ University OR a recognized qualification equivalent thereto.
v) For Nuclear Medicine Department:-
a) A Medical qualification.
b) Must be registered with the Central/ State Medical Council.
c) A Postgraduate degree i.e. MD/ DNB (Nuclear Medicine) in the specialty concerned or its equivalent.
vi) For Renal Transplant Surgery Department:-
a) A Medical qualification.
b) Must be registered with the Central/ State Medical Council.
c) A Postgraduate degree i.e. MS (General Surgery) in the specialty concerned or its equivalent.
vii) For Transfusion Medicine Department:-
a) A Medical qualification.
b) Must be registered with the Central/ State Medical Council.
c) A Postgraduate degree i.e. MD (Transfusion Medicine) OR MD (Pathology) in the specialty concerned or its equivalent.
viii) For Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Department:-
a) A Medical qualification.
b) Must be registered with the Central/ State Medical Council.
c) A Postgraduate degree i.e. MD (PRM)/ MD (Sports Medicine as a qualifying degree) in the specialty concerned or its equivalent.
B) Senior Medical Officer (Casualty in Emergency)
i) A Medical qualification.
ii) Must be registered with the Central/ State Medical Council.
iii) A Postgraduate degree i.e. MD/ MS (Medicine/ Surgery) in the specialty concerned or its equivalent.
C) Junior/ Senior Demonstrator
i) For Senior Demonstrator:- a) M.Sc. in subject concerned.
b) Ph.D. in the subject concerned/ allied subject.
c) For Senior Demonstrator (Biophysics): M.Sc. in Biophysics/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Computational and systems biology from a recognized University with Ph.D degree in life Sciences from recognized University or its equivalent.
ii) For Junior Demonstrator:- M.Sc. in the subject concerned.
D) Senior Demonstrator
i) For Anatomy (Medical) Department:-
a) A Medical qualification.
b) The candidate must be registered with the State/ Central Medical Council.
c) A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.S. (Anatomy) or M.S. (Surgery) of an Indian University or qualifications recognized equivalent thereto.
ii) For Anatomy (Non-Medical) Department:-
a) Postgraduate qualification e.g. Master’s degree viz., M.A./ M.Sc./ M.V.Sc. in Anatomy/ M.Sc./ Anthropology with atleast 01 year teaching and/ or research experience in human Anatomy.
b) Ph.D. degree in the subject concerned of a recognized University or its equivalent.
iii) For Community Medicine (Health Promotion) Department:- M.A./ M.Sc. in Health Promotion or MPH and Ph.D.
iv) For Nuclear Medicine Department:- Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Nuclear Medicine from a recognized University. Ph.D. degree in the subject concerned/ allied subject of a recognized University or its equivalent.
AGE LIMIT: Maximum 40 years as on 09-12-2019.
BASIC PAY: Rs.35400 per month for Junior Demonstrator, Rs.56100 per month for Senior Demonstrator and Rs.67700 per month for Senior Resrdent and Senior Medical Officer.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 10 years for PWD category. Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
The vacancies are in Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bathinda, Punjab and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. The candidates will be appointed for a maximum period up to Three (03) years.
Note: Candidates who have completed three years tenure of Senior Residency or have done DM/ M.Ch. are not eligible for the post of Senior Resident.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Exam (Computer Based Test), Departmental Interview and Assessment. The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held on 18th December, 2019. The Departmental Interview and Assessment will be held on 26th December, 2019. The examinations are likely to held at the following cities- Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Delhi/ NCR and Kolkata.
