MEDICAL OFFICER (ASSISTANT SURGEON)
No. of Vacancies: 3278 Nos. (UR-1358, SEBC-136, SC-709, ST-1075)
Educational Qualification: i) MBBS or equivalent Degree from a recognized Medical College or Medical Institution.
ii) Must have a valid registration certificate under the Odisha Medical Registration Rules 1965.
iii) Possess required conversion certificates recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) in case of candidate having Degrees from Universities of Foreign Countries.
iv) The candidate should be able to speak, read and write Odia and must have:-
a) Passed Middle School examination with Odia as a language subject, or
b) Passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as a medium of examination in non-language subject, or
c) Passed in Odia as Language subject in the final examination of Class VII or above, or
d) Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01/01/2020.
Basic Pay: Rs.56100 per month
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ ST/ SEBC/ Women/ Ex-servicemen and 10 years for PWD category. Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

The selected candidates will be on Probation for two years.
Reserved Category candidates from the states other than Odisha will be treated as General Category candidates.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination. The Written Examination is likely to be held on 22/12/2019 at Cuttack/ Bhubaneswar.
