Medical Officer Selection Board of Central Armed Police Forces (BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB and Assam Rifles) is recruiting 514 persons for the post of Specialist Medical Officer, Medical Officers and Dental Surgeon in the rank of Deputy Commandant and Assistant Commandant. Brief details below—

1. Specialist Medical Officer: 221 Nos.
Field of Speciality— Medicine, Surgery, Gynae & Obs, Anesthetist, Radiologist, Pathologist, Eye, Psychiatry, paediatrics and Otheopedics

Vacancies according to CAPF wise—
BSF: 55 Nos. (Gen-23; SC-10; ST-5; OBC-17)
CRPF: 129 Nos. (Gen-65; SC-19; ST-10; OBC-35)
SSB: 20 Nos. (Gen-11; SC-3; ST-1; OBC-5)
ITBP: 12 Nos. (Gen-4; SC-1; ST-1; OBC-6)
Assam Rifles: 5 Nos. (Gen-3; SC-1; OBC-1)
Qualification: A recognised Medical qualification of allopathic system. Must have complete compulsory rotating internship and posses Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned specialty mentioned above or equivalent and one and half years experience in the concerned specialty after obtaining PG Degree or two and half years experience after obtaining PG Diploma.
Pay Scale: Rs.15600—Rs.39100 and Grade pay—Rs.6600 per month
Age: maximum 40 yrs as on last date of application.

2. Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant)—289 Nos.
Category wise vacancy—
BSF: 50 Nos. (Gen-9; ST-2; OBC-39)
CRPF: 39 Nos. (Gen-20, SC-6, ST-3, OBC-10)
SSB: 40 Nos. (Gen-11; SC-4; OBC-25)
ITBP: 124 Nos. (Gen-35; SC-25; ST-7; OBC-57)
Assam Rifles: 36 Nos. (Gen-18; SC-5; ST-3; OBC-10)
Qualification: A recognised Medical qualification of allopathic system of medicines and must have complete compulsory rotating internship
Pay Scale: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 and Grade pay Rs.5400
Age Limit: maximum 30yrs of age as on last date of application.

3. Dental Surgeon (Assistant Commandant)—04 Nos.
Category wise vacancy—
CRPF: 2 Nos. (Gen-1; OBC-1)
SSB: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Assam Rifles: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Bachelor of Dental Surgery with minimum 60% marks in aggregate and should have registered with Dental Council of India. Candidates should have cleared all BDS subjects in first attempt. Preference will be given to the candidates who have Post Degree work experience.
Pay Scale: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 and Grade Pay Rs.5400
Age limit: maximum 35yrs of age as on last date of Application.

Age relaxation— 5yrs for SC/ST candidates, 3yrs for OBC candidates and Rest of Others—as per govt. norms.

Physical Standard: Height—157.5 cms (Male) and 142 Cms (Female). Relaxable by 3 cms for SC/ST candidates and 2 cms for candidates from Hilly region.
Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—77 cms/ 82cms. Well developed for female candidates.
Weight—proportionate to height and age for both male and female candidates.
Eye Sight—6/6 or 6/9 with good eyes in distant vision and 6/12 or 6/9 with worse eye in distant vision.
Candidates should be in good physical and mental state and should not have any defect which may hinder in the performance of the duty.

Eligible candidates will be called for Interview followed by a detailed medical examination. Selected candidates will have to undergo basic training and such other courses as prescribed in the Force from time to time.

• 2 recent passport size photograph (one copy pasted on Application form duly attested by Gazetted Officer and other copy as an enclose)
• Age proof (copy of Madhyamik certificate for verification of age)
• Copy of MBBS/ BDS or equivalent qualification certificate and any other relevant certificate in support of qualification.
• Copy of Registration Certificate from Medical Council of State/ UT
• Copy of NOC in case of govt. employee
• Copy of Caste Certificate (in prescribed proforma to be attached), if SC/ST/OBC
• 2 Nos. Self – addressed envelope (11.5X27.5 cm)
• Any other relevant documents, if any
