Metro Railway, Kolkata invites application for recruitment of Sports person in Metro Railway against Sports Quota for the year 2013-14. Employment Notice No. MRTS/E.326/0/Rectt./Sports/2013-14. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Educational qualification norms and details in brief are given below —
SPORTS QUOTA VACANCIES –
Sports Discipline —
— Football (Men)(Defender): 1 Nos.
— Football (Men) (Mid Fielder): 1 Nos.
— Basketball (Men) (Pivot): 2 Nos.
— Table Tennis (Women): 2 Nos.
— Cricket (Men) (Batsman): 1 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must be Matriculation pass or ITI or its equivalent.
Candidates who apply for post having Grade pay of Rs.1800/- but have the educational qualification of only Class-VIII pass can also be considered for appointment. In such cases, candidates will be placed in Pay Band of Rs.4440—7440 without any Grade Pay.
Sports Eligibility: Candidates must have represented the Country or the State in National/ International level Games (Please see the Advt. for full details)
Sports achievements within the immediate previous two financial years (i.e. on or after 01/04/2011) and current financial year, (i.e. 2013-14) shall be considered for appointment.
Age Limit: Minimum 18yrs and maximum 25 years as on 01/01/2014. There is no upper age relaxation.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20,200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2000/- (Rs.1800 /- for Cricket discipline)
Selection of the candidates will be purely on the basis of merit. The date and venue and time for Trial will be intimated to the eligible candidates through Ordinary Post in due course.
Application Fee: Candidates willing to apply must pay Application Fee of Rs.100/- in form of Bank Draft/ IPO drawn in favour of “FA&CAO, Metro Railway/ Kolkata” and payable at “GPO/Kolkata”
SC/ST, Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Class candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee.
How to Apply: Candidates may prepare the Application form on plain A4 size paper by neatly typing as per the given format (See the below PDF file for application format).
The Application form must be enclosed with Gazetted Officer’s Attested copies of testimonials in support of Qualification, Sports Eligibility, Age proof, Caste proof, and etc.
