Govt. of India – Ministry of Culture, New Delhi, is recruiting 47 candidates for the post of – Supervisor, Preservation, Conversation Attendants and Helpers, for two Projects (see below) on purely on contract basis upto 31-3-2014 and likely to be extended by two more years. 1. Supervisor: 1 Nos.
Post code—01. Vacancies in Project-1.
Qualification: Graduate in Science and Specialized training in the field of Conservation of archival heritage from a reputed organization and Knowledge of computer operation.
Experience — 05yrs in the field.
Age: Maximum 65yrs.
Salary: Rs.25000/- per month
2. Preservation Assistant: 21 Nos. (Gen—11; SC—3; ST—2; OBC—5)
Post code—02 . Vacancies in Project-1
Qualification: Minimum 12th pass and trained in Archival Conservation
Experience—02yrs in the field.
Age: Not less than 18yrs.
Salary: Rs.15000/-
3. Conversation Attendants: 2 Nos.
Post code—03. Vacancies in Project-1
Qualification: Class 10 pass and trained in the field of conversation of documents.
Experience—1 yr in the field.
Age: Minimum 18yrs.
Salary: Rs.10000/- per month
4. Supervisor: 1 Nos.
Post code—04 . Vacancies in Project-2
Qualification: Graduate preferably in Science and Specialized training in the field of Conservation of Archival Heritage and Knowledge of computer operation.
Experience—05yrs in the field.
Age: maximum 65 yrs.
Salary: Rs.25000/- per month
5. Preservation Assistant: 20 Nos. (UR-10, SC-3, ST-2 & OBC-5)
Post code—05. Vacancies in Project-2
Qualification: Minimum 10th pass and trained in Archival Conservation
Experience—02yrs in the field.
Age: Minimum 18yrs.
Salary: Rs.12000/- per month
6. Helpers: 02 Nos.
Post code—06. Vacancies in Project-2
Qualification: Minimum 10th pass and Trained in the field of conservation of documents
Experience—Minimum 18yrs.
Age: Minimum 18yrs.
Salary: Rs.9000/- per month
The engagement to the above said posts will be purely on contract basis upto 31-3-2014 and likely to be extended by two more years for two Projects namely 1.’Conservation/Preservation of Public Records in theNational Archives of India’, 2. ‘Repair and Binding of Rare books of Library of National Archives of India.
The selection of the candidates will be through Practical Test and Interview.
