MOTOR VEHICLE INSPECTOR (NON-TECHNICAL)
No. of Vacancies: 19 Nos. (UR-09, SC-05, OBC-03, ST-01, Meritorious Sportsperson-01)
Educational Qualification: i) Must have Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University.
ii) Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali is an essential requirement (not required for those whose mother tongue is Nepali).
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 39 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.7100 — Rs.37600
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and upto the age of 45 years for PWD category. Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

Reserved Category candidates from the states other than West Bengal will be treated as General Category candidates.
Physical Standards:
(i) For Candidates of all categories: Height — 170 cms; Chest (unexpanded) — 86 cms; Chest (expanded) — 91 cms; Weight — Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.
(ii) For Gorkha, Garwali, Rajbansi and other Hill Tribes/ ST Candidates: Height — 160 cms; Chest — 81 cms; Chest (expanded) — 86 cms; Weight — Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Objective (MCQ) Type Examination and Personality Test.
