Mumbai Port Trust Notification 2024

  • Post Name: Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA)

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have passed the 10th class examination under the 10+2 system of education or its equivalent. Additionally, they must possess a COPA Trade Certificate issued by the National Council of Vocational Training.

Age Limit:

The minimum age for Apprenticeship training is 14 years with no upper limit. Candidates aged 14-18 can’t sign contracts; guardians must sign for them.

Application Fee:

The application form will be available on the MbPA website from March 15 to April 15, 2024. The application fee is Rs. 100/- and must be paid via NEFT mode. Candidates submitting offline forms must include the UTR receipt. Beneficiary details are as follows:

Selection Process:

  • Merit List: Candidates are ranked based on qualifications and COPA ITI Trade Exam marks.
  • Tie-Breaker: Older candidates ranked higher in case of a tie.
  • MbPA Employees’ Wards: Preference given to them.
  • Publication: Merit lists are displayed on the notice board and website.
  • Document Verification: Selected candidates verify documents at the ATC office.
  • Non-Appearance Disqualification: Absence results in rejection.
  • Physical Fitness Test: Selected candidates undergo a test at MbPA Hospital, Wadala.

How to Apply/ Application Process

Step 1: Register online via the NCVT MIS web portal (www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) and print the e-mail copy with apprentice enrollment/registration No.

Step 2: Download the application form from the Mumbai Port Trust website under the ‘Media’ > ‘Vacancy’ menu if registered on the NCVT MIS portal.

Step 3: Fill out the application form completely and submit it along with the required documents and application fee receipt by hand delivery or post to the Apprentice Training Centre (ATC), 3rd floor, Bhandar Bhavan, N. V. Nakhwa Marg, Mazgaon (East), Mumbai – 400010 before the due date. Late or incomplete applications will be rejected without further correspondence.
