Municipal Service Commission (MSC), Kolkata, is recruiting 42 candidates for the post of “Translator (Hindi)” and “Accounts Assistant” under Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority and Kolkata Municipal Corporation. Number of Vacancies:—
In Main Panel :- 21 Nos. [UR -05, SC – 07, ST -03, OBC(A)-02 and OBC(B) – 04].
In Supplementary Panel: – 10 Nos. [UR – 07, SC-02 & OBC (A)-01].

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & PAY SCALE:
(I). Translator (Hindi):  Honours or Post Graduate in Hindi from a recognized University OR Honours or Post Graduate Degree in English with Hindi as a subject at Bachelors Degree level from a recognized University.
Candidates shall have done Diploma in Computer Application from Institution of repute
Pay Scale: Rs.7100—37600 and Grade Pay: Rs.3600/-

(II). Accounts Assistant: Graduate in Commerce from any recognized University. Knowledge of Computer in Accounting Package like Tally, is desirable.
Pay Scale: Rs.7100—37600 and Grade Pay: Rs.3600/- per month

(III). Deputy Manager: An Honours degree from recognised University or its equivalent OR Degree with minimum 50% marks from recongnised University or its equivalent.
Pay Scale: Rs.15600 – Rs.42000 and Grade Pay: Rs.5400/- plus other allowances as per norms.

AGE LIMIT:
18 to 37 years for the post of Translator and 18 to 40yrs for the post of Accounts Asst. Age will be taken as on 01/01/2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; and Others – As per norms.

Method of Recruitment: The method of recruitment will be notified later and such information will be available in official website — www.mscwb.org 
Date and venue of examination will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course.

APPLICATION FEE (For all vacancies): 
General and OBC candidates shall pay Application Fee of Rs.150 + Processing charge of Rs.50, i.e. Rs.200/- in total .
No Application Fee for SC/ST and PWD candidates. Such candidates shall pay only Rs.50/- as Processing Charge. 

N.B: Bank will charge Rs.20/- additionally for each transaction. Such charge shall be paid by all candidates additionally. 

Mode of Fee Payment: Fee can be paid through any branches of United Bank of India at the prescribed Account No. (See PDF file below) by means of Fee payment Challan which will be generated automatically after successful registration of Online Application.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online through the official website of Municipal Service Commission — www.mscwb.org (See live URL to Application form below).
After registration and completion of data submission for on-line application, a Challan will be generated which will have to be printed and taken to any branch of U.B.I. The Bank will receive in cash the application fee and or processing charges as the case may be plus Bank Charges printed therein. After deposition of the fee / processing charges, the application will be deemed to be submitted.

Candidates must print-out the submitted copy of Online Application form for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND THE PRINT-OUT/ HARD COPY APPLICATION TO THE COMMISSION. 

LAST DATE OF ONLINE APPLICATION: 
For the post of Translator (Hindi) and Accounts Assistant:
—  Last date to submit Online Application is 20th March, 2014 
—  Last date to deposit the Application fee along with processing charges is 25-03-2014.

For the post of Deputy Manager:
— Last date to submit Online Application is 28th March, 2014
— Last date to deposit Application fee & processing charges is 03-04-2014

  7. i have applied for the post of deputy manager, but after depositting the exam fees(27/3/2014) i don’t get any sms or email as it will be send as it mention in the advertisement… any one have any information regards it…

  13. I have on-line application, there fill up date of birth 03-02-1796, but registration application seen personal details date of birth 02-03-1976, it is right or wrong;

    • You should be commerce graduate. Only B.Com/ M.Com candidates may apply for Account Asst. Computer knowledge and tally is desirable, i.e. good if you have.

  24. Do we have to send the copy of the Bank Challan to MSC? It is not mentioned in the Adv but generally we have to do that in most of the other cases.
