Nagaland Public Service Commission, Kohima, as per Advertisement No. NPSC-2/2013, is inviting application from the eligible candidates for the vacancies under various departments of Govt. of Nagaland. Total vacancies—56 Nos. Posts— Extra Assistant Commissioner, Inspector of Excise, Secretariat Assistant, Inspector of Taxes and Sub-Inspector. Qualification norms and brief details is given below —
1. EXTRA ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER (Class-I Gazetted, Junior Grade) under Personnel & Administrative Reforms Department. — 20 Nos.
2. INSPECTOR OF EXCISE (Class-II Gazetted) under Excise Department. — 2 Nos.
3. SECRETARIAT ASSISTANT (Class-III Non Gazetted) under Personnel & Administrative Reforms Department. — 20 Nos.
4. INSPECTOR OF TAXES (Class-III Non Gazetted) under Taxation Department. — 12 Nos.
5. SUB-INSPECTOR (Class-III Non Gazetted) under Home Guards and Civil Defence Department. — 2 Nos.
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED (FOR ALL ABOVE POSTS): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, including Divinity, from a Recognized University.
Candidates who have appeared Bachelor’s Degree final and awaiting result are also eligible to apply.
Pay Scale: —
For Sl.No.1: Rs.15600—39100 and Grade Pay: Rs.5400
For Sl.No.2: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade Pay: Rs.4400
For Sl.No.3: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade Pay: Rs.4200
For Sl.No.4 & 5: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2800
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21yrs to 30yrs as on 01-01-2013. Upper age relaxation for reserved categories is as per norms.
There will be preliminary examination for selection of candidates. For the Preliminary Examination, there will be one common paper of General Studies only. Syllabus will be issued to the candidates at the time of issue of Application Form.

Application Fee: Rs.300/- is to be paid in form of Bank Draft payable to Secretary, NPSC.
Candidates who have applied Online must write their Name and Transaction ID number on the back of the DD and must sent it by Registered Post and addressed to — Secretary, Nagaland Public Service Commission, Kohima and a self-addressed envelope (9” x 4”) is to be enclosed.
