NATIONAL BOOK TRUST IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 13 POSTS OF ASSISTANT EDITOR, LIBRARIAN, EDITORIAL ASSISTANT, ASSISTANT, SENIOR STENOGRAPHER, MARKETING EXECUTIVE, JUNIOR STENOGRAPHER, TELEPHONE OPERATORCUM- RECEPTIONIST AND UPPER DIVISION CLERK. LAST DATE — 28/03/2016

 

1. Assistant Editor (Punjabi): 01 Nos. (OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree and proficiency in the specified language.
Candidates should have good knowledge of the literary scene of the specified language and working knowledge of English or Hindi.
Candidates should have 05 years’ working experience in editing/translating/proof reading and book production.
Desirable: Good knowledge of Indian literature and culture.
Age Limit: Maximum-35 years as on Last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.15600/- Rs.39100/- and Grade Pay Rs.5400/-

 

2. Librarian: 01 Nos. (UR-01)
Educational Qualification: Degree in Library Science or its equivalent.
Candidates should have 05 years’ working experience as Library Assistant or Professional Assistant.
Age Limit: Maximum-30 years as on Last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs.4600/-

 

3. Editorial Assistant (Hindi): 01 Nos. (OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree
Candidates should have proficiency in the specified language and working knowledge of English & Hindi.
Candidates should have Three years’ working experience in editing/translating/proof reading.
Desirable: Master’s Degree.
Age Limit: Maximum-30 years as on Last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs.4200/-

 

4. Assistant (For Western Regional Office, Mumbai): 01 Nos. (ST-01)
Educational Qualification: Degree.
Candidates should have five years experience in relevant field.
Age Limit: Maximum-30 years as on Last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs.4200/-

 

5. Senior Stenographer (English): 02 Nos. (UR-01, PWD(VH)-01)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation.
Candidates should have shorthand speed of 100 wpm in English and Hindi and transcription of 40 minutes (English), 55 minutes (Hindi).
Candidates must have training in Word Processing and Secretarial Practice including noting/ drafting, handling of routine correspondence, files, appointments, engagement etc
Age Limit: Maximum-30 years as on Last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs.4200/-

 

6. Marketing Executive (For Southern Regional Office, Bengaluru): 01 Nos. (UR-01)
Educational Qualification: Degree.
Candidates should have Knowledge of Kannada/ Malayalam/Tamil/Telugu.
Candidates should have Five years’ experience in book selling.
Age Limit: Minimum-21 years and maximum-30 years as on Last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2800/-

 

7. Junior Stenographer (03-English & 01- Hindi): 04 Nos. (UR-02, OBC-02)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation.
Candidates should have shorthand speed of 80 wpm in English and Hindi and transcription of 50 minutes (English), 65 minutes (Hindi).
Candidates must have Working knowledge of Computer Operations.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on Last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2400/-

 

8. Telephone Operator-cum- Receptionist: 01 Nos. (UR-01)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree.
Candidates must have Training in the operation of PBX and fluency in English and Hindi.
Clear voice and pronunciation and pleasing personality
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on Last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2400/-

 

9. Upper Division Clerk (For Eastern Regional Office, Kolkata): 01 Nos. (ST-01)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree.
Three years regular service in the grade of LDC
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on Last date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2400/-

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

 

Candidates’ Selection:  Selection of the candidates will be through Interview.
