National Health Mission (NHM), Maharashtra is recruiting 2900 Community Health Officers (CHO). NHM Maharashtra invites applications for 6 monthly Certificate Programmes in Community Health from candidates who are willing & enthusiastic to serve the community. Candidates who successfully complete this Programme will be posted at Sub Centres Health & Wellness Centres (SC- HWC) as Community Health Officers on a contract basis. Community Health Officers are expected to carry out public health functions, ambulatory care, management, and leadership at HWC. The 6 months Certificate Programme in Community Health will be conducted by the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) in MaharashtraRequired educational qualifications and other details for informational purposes only in the interest of job-seekers are given below in brief —

COMMUNITY HEALTH OFFICERS

 

No. of Vacancies: 2900 Nos.

Educational Qualification:

    • Bachelor in Ayurvedic Medicine
    • Bachelor in Unani Medicine
    • Bachelors in Nursing Candidates with the above-mentioned degrees from a recognized university supported by a valid registration from the Maharashtra Council of Indian Medicine/Maharashtra Nursing council are eligible.

Pay Scale:

    • Candidates selected as trainees will be paid a stipend of Rs. 10,000/- per month during the Certificate Programme.
    • After the appointment of CHO at SubCentre will be paid a Base Salary of Rs.25,000/-per month consolidated + Rs.15000/-. Performance-based incentive.
    • CHO working in a hard-to-reach area of Tribal districts decided by State will be paid Additional Incentives of Rs.15000/-.

    • For Open Category: Rs. 500/-
    • For Reserved Category: Rs. 350/-
    • Payment Mode: Demand Draft

Candidates’ Selection:

    • Selection of candidates for the Certificate Programme in Community Health will be done through an entrance examination that will be conducted by National Health Mission, Maharashtra.

    • Interested candidates are requested to apply in the enclosed application form and submit the completed application form with
      one set of self-attested photocopies of essential documents, two passport-size color photos, and a Demand draft at the office of Deputy Director of Health Services (DDHS) for respective districts as per the choice of the district of appointment on or before 6.15 pm on 20/12/2022 by post/ by hand/ by courier.
