National Institute of Virology, under Indian Council of Medical Research, is recruiting 38 candidates for the following vacancies for its Institute and its Units at different parts of the Country — Technical Officer, Technical Assistant, Technician, Section Officer, Personal Assistant and Staff Car Driver. 1. Technical Officer-A (Technical Support): 4 Nos. (Gen—2; OBC—1; SC—1)
Qualification: Three years Graduate Degree in Life Sciences / Bioinformatics / Biophysics / Statistics AND 5yrs experience or 2yrs Diploma course with 3yrs experience.
2. Technical Assistant (Technical Support): 2 Nos. (Gen—1; OBC—1)
Qualification: Three years Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences / Bioinformatics / Biophysics / Statistics AND one year diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology OR One year experience in lower scale.
3. Technician – C (Technical Support): 12 Nos. (Gen—7; OBC –3; SC—1; ST—1)
Qualification: Higher Secondary with Science subjects and One year diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology and experience of one year.
4. Technician ‘B’ (Technical Support): 6 Nos. (Gen—3; SC—1; OBC—2)
Qualification: Higher Secondary with Science subjects and one year certificate course in Medical laboratory Technology and experience of 8yrs.
5. Technician — A (Technical Support): 3 Nos. (Gen—2; OBC—1)
Qualification: Higher Secondary with Science subjects and one year certificate course in Medical Laboratory Technology.
6. Technical Assistant (Engineering Support): 1 Nos. (OBC)
Qualification: 3yrs diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 2yrs experience.
7. Technician—C (Engineering Support): 2 Nos. (Gen—1; OBC—1)
Qualification: Higher Secondary with Science subjects and 2yrs diploma / ITI with NCTVT in Electrical Engineering and 5yrs experience.
8. Technician ‘B’ (Engineering Support): 2 Nos. (Gen—1; OBC—1)
Qualification: Higher Secondary in Science with ITI with NCTVT Certificate in Electrician Trade and 8yrs of experience.
9. Section Officer: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Graduate degree in any discipline.
10. Personal Assistant: 2 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Graduate degree in any discipline and Government
Commercial Diploma in Shorthand with minimum speed of 120 w.p.m. and 40 w.p.m. in Typing
11. Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade): 3 Nos. (Gen –2; OBC –1)
Qualification: Matriculation and must posses valid Light Motor Vehicle/ Two Wheeler Driving Licence and 2yrs experience.
Age Limits:—
For the posts of Technical Officer-A and Section Officer — below 35yrs.
For Technician – A (Technical Support) — below 28yrs.
For Personal Assistant and Staff Car Driver — below25yrs.
For rest of posts/ vacancies — below 35yrs.
Age will be counted as on 01-03-2013. Upper age relaxation for OBC—3yrs; SC/ST—5yrs and PH – 10yrs.
Candidates willing to apply for more than posts may submit separate application for each post.
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test/ Personal Discussion/ Interview. Only shortlisted candidates (on basis of qualification and experience) will be called for Written Test.
