Naval Dockyard Apprentice Eligibility

Education: The eligibility criteria for the apprenticeship training at Naval Dockyard, Mumbai vary depending on the trade. For most trades, candidates must hold an ITI qualification (NCVT/SCVT). However, for trades such as Pattern Maker, Tailor (G), I&CTSM, and Rigger, candidates with a minimum of Std 8th pass are eligible. Additionally, Shipwright (Steel) requires candidates to have passed Std 10th.

Age limit: There is no upper age limit for apprenticeship training, as per the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship guidelines, but candidates must be at least 14 years old. Applicants must also meet the specified physical standards, including a minimum height of 150 cm, a weight not less than 45 kg, and normal vision with no impairment of external or internal organs.
