Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam – Recruitment of 299 Tradesman Mate. Last Dt. 20/07/2014 (27/07/2014)

Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam is recruiting 299 Tradesman Mate (erstwhile MTS (Industrial)) (Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial, Industrial). Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format (See below) along with testimonials. Educational qualification norms and other requirements in brief, is given below —

TRADESMAN MATE 
Number of Vacancies: 299 Nos. (Gen—152; OBC—82; SC—45; ST—20)

Educational Qualification: Class 10 pass.

Age: Maximum 25 years as on last date of application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Candidates’ Selection: Shortlisted and eligible candidates will first go for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and then Written Test. Finally candidates will go for Medical Examination.

Physical Efficiency Test: —
Male Candidates: (i) Running of 800 meters in 6 minutes and (ii) Carrying of Weight 40 Kg for 25 metres
Female Candidates: (i) Running of 600 meters in 6 minutes and (ii) Carrying of Weight 20 Kg for 25 metres.

Written Examination: — Candidates cleared PET are required to appear for the written examination consisting of 100 objective type questions prepared based on 10th standard syllabus comprising of General Science, Maths and General Knowledge. The question paper will be provided in English language only.
Finally, candidates will be called for verification of original certificates and undergo Medical Examination as per the merit list till vacancies are filled up.

The duly filled Application form shall be enclosed with attested copies (attestation by Gazetted Officer) of testimonials in support of Educational Qualification, Age proof, Caste, and Etc.
One recent passport size photograph (attested by a Gazetted Officer) shall be pasted on the Application form.

Last Date and Address: The dully filled Application form shall be addressed to “The Admiral Superintendent (for CAO), Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam-530014” so as to reach on or before 20/07/2014, only by REGISTERED/ SPEED POST.
The last date of receipt of application for candidates from Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep is 27/07/2014. 

The envelope containing the Application form and enclosures shall be superscribed with – “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF TRADESMAN (MATE), CATEGORY______”.
