Naval Ship Repair Yard, Karwar is recruiting ITI pass candidates for Apprenticeship Training in the trade of – Fitter, Mechanic, Electrician, Machinist, Welder, Plumber, Carpenter, SMW, Shipwright and Etc. Total No. of vacancies—47 Nos. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Educational qualification norms and brief details are given below —

ONE YEAR APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING IN THE FOLLOWING TRADES —
— Fitter: 05 Nos.
— Mechanic (Motor Vehichle): 8 Nos.
— Electronic Mechanic: 8 Nos.
— Electrician: 5 Nos
— Machinist: 3 Nos.
— Welder: 02 Nos.

TWO YEARS APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING IN FOLLOWING TRADES —
— Plumber: 2 Nos.
— Carpenter: 2 Nos.
— Sheet Metal Worker: 7 Nos.
— Shipwright (Steel): 5 Nos.

The reservation of vacancies for SC/ST and OBC candidates are as per Govt. norms. Out of total 3% of  vacancies are reserved for PH candidates.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must be Matriculation/ Class 10 pass with a minimum of 50% marks AND shall possess ITI Trade certificate in the relevant trade with 65% marks in aggregate.
For the trade ‘Shipwright (Steel)’, the candidates with ITI Fitter are eligible to apply.

Age: Born between 05 Oct, 1993 to 05 Oct,2000 (Both the dates inclusive). Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Minimum Physical Standards: Height—150cms; Weight—45 Kgs, Chest expansion by 5 cms; Eye—6/6 and 6/9.

Stipend during Training: Rs.2100/-, Rs.2400/-, Rs.2870/- and Rs.3100/- per month depending on period of apprenticeship training

Candidates’ Selection: Candidates will be selected through Written Test, Interview and Medical Examination. Written test will be tentatively on 22nd July,2014. Commencement of Training will be from 06th October, 2014.
Exact date and venue will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course.
