NAVAL SHIP REPAIR YARD, KARWAR, INVITES APPLICATION FOR ENROLLMENT AS APPRENTICES IN DIFFERENT TRADES. LAST DATE — 30/06/2015

 

1. Name of the Trades for One Year Training: —

(i) Fitter: 09 Nos.
(ii) Machinist: 06 Nos.
(iii) Welder: 06 Nos.
(iv) Electrician: 07 Nos.
(v) Instrument Mech: 03 Nos.
(vi) Mechanic R&A/C: 05 Nos.
(vii) Painter (G): 02 Nos.
(viii) Electronics Mechanic: 09 Nos.

 

2. Name of the Trades for Two years Training: —

(i) Plumber: 05 Nos.
(ii) Carpenter: 05 Nos.
(iii) Sheet Metal Worker: 02 Nos.
(iv) Mechanical Diesel: 08 Nos.

Reservation of vacancies for reserved candidates will be as per Govt. norms.

 

Educational Qualification (for all Trades): Matriculation or Class 10th passed with 50% marks & ITI certificate in relevant trade with 65% marks.

 

Age Limit (for all Apprentices): Candidates should be born between 05.10.1994 to 05.10.2001. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidates is 5 years.

 

Physical Standards: (i) Height—150cms (ii) Weight—45kgs (iii) Chest expansion—5cms (iv) Eye Sight—6/6 to 6/9.

 

Stipend: Rs.5800/- to Rs.6300/- per month, depending on period of apprenticeship training.

 

Mode of Selection: Selection of the candidates on the basis of marks obtained in Matric & ITI Examination. Selected candidates will be called for Written Test on 21.July 2015 and Interview/Medical Test will be conducted on next following day.
Note: The written examination for candidates from Andaman & Nicobar Islands will be conducted at INS Jarawa, Port Blair.
