INDIAN COAST GUARD INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR NAVIK (DOMESTIC BRANCH) 10TH ENTRY- 01/ 2020 BATCH. LAST DATE — 08/11/2019
NAVIK (COOK AND STEWARD)
Educational Qualification: 10th Class with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board.
Note:- 5% relaxation in above minimum cut off will be given for SC/ ST candidates and outstanding sports person of National level who have obtained 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in any field sports events at the Open National Championship/ Inter-state National Championship. This relaxation will also be applicable to the ward of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 22 years as on 01/04/2020.
Basic Pay: Rs.21700 per month initially.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
Only Male candidates are eligible to apply.
The basic training of selected candidates will commence in April, 2020 at INS Chilka followed by sea training and professional training in the allotted trade.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — Minimum 157 cms; Chest — Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.; Weight — Proportionate to height and age.
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas relaxation will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Medical Examination. The Written Examination will be held in the following centres- Noida, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai and Gandhi Nagar. The test will be conducted during the month of end November, 2019.
Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination/interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course as well as such information will be also available in the official website of Indian Coast Guard — www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Indian Coast Guard — www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 30/10/2019 to 08/11/2019.
Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO INDIAN COAST GUARD AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
