Recruitments of few hundred Navik in General Duty (GD) and Domestic Branch (DB- Cook and Steward) is going on in Indian Coast Guard . Madhyamik Pass (Class-10) candidates can apply for the post.
1. Post: Navik in Domestic Branch (Cook and Steward)
Madhyamik pass candidates can apply. Date of birth should be between 1.10.1989 to 30-9-1993. Required eye-sight- 6/18 and 6/36. Pay scale: Rs.5200-20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1900
2. Post: Navik in General Duty
Higher-Secondary pass in Science stream with Mathematics and Physics can apply. Age or date of birth should be between 1.8.1989 to 30.7.1993. Required eye-sight: 6/6 and 6/9. Candidates with Glass or Contact Lens were not applicable. Pay-scale: Rs.5200-20200. Grade Pay: Rs.2000.
For all the above post, Age relaxation for candidates from OBC will be 3yrs and SC/ST will be 5yrs.
Physical Height and Weight: Height– 157cm (If Gorkha, Nepali and Assamese- 152cm). Chest and body weight should be corresponding to height. Candidates should be physically well built and mentally fit.
Candidates will be selected through Written Test, Physical Test and Physical Examination.
Written Test/Interview will be held on Kolkata, Shillong, Aijwal and Cuttack in the month of March/April. The written test will be on the following topics- (1) English, (2) Math, (3) Science and (4) General Knowledge. There will be also mental ability test of 30 minutes.
Physical Test will be of race of 1.6 KM within 6 minutes, 20 times Uttak-Baitak and 10 times push-ups. Finally there will be Interview.

Along with application form, candidates should enclose the following documents (All documents should be attested by Gazetted Officer):
- Copy of Madhyamik Pass Admit Card for proof of age.
- Copy of Educational certificate and Marksheet
- Copy of Caste certificate in case of SC/ST and OBC candidates
- Copy of Sports or NCC certificate (If any)
- One self-addressed envelope (22x10cm) without any postal stamp
- 2 nos. recent color pas-port size photos, 1 copy affixed on the form and other enclose with the application.
- Character Certificate (at-least 6 months old)
