Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Regional Office – Patna, is recruiting eligible candidates for the post of – LOWER DIVISION CLERK/ STORE KEEPER on direct recruitment basis in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas under Patna Region located in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal as detailed under. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria is given below in brief —
Name of the Post: Lower Division Clerk/ Store Keeper
Number of Vacancies: 73 Nos. (Gen – 36; SC – 16; ST—07; OBC—14). Reservation for PH candidates is as per norms.
Education Qualification: Senior Secondary/ Class XII or equivalent with 50% marks and possessing minimum speed of 35 words per minute in English typewriting or 30 words per minute in Hindi typewriting on computer. In case, the typing on computer is not available in some ITI/Polytechnics, then skill test may be conducted on manual typewriter.
OR
Senior Secondary with Secretarial practices and Office Management as vocational subjects with 50% marks.
Desirable Qualification: Candidates with computer as a subject at 10+2 level or diploma in computer application is desirable.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1900/-
Age Limits: Between 18yrs to 27yrs as on 28/02/2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST- 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman & any other Categories – As per Govt. norms
The vacancies are on direct recruitment basis. Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test (on sole discretion of the Samiti). A trade test / type test on computer will be conducted for shortlisted candidates, which is only qualifying test in nature and carries no weightage.
Selected candidates are likely to be posted in any Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas of Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.
Candidates will be on probation for a period of two years which can be extended for period of another one year upon satisfactory performance of the candidates.
