Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is inviting application for 937 posts of – Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) and Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) against vacancies in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in various districts of the country on Direct Recruitment basis. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: 
For Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): Two Year Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. Course in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
OR Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the relevant subjects. (See below given PDF file for subject lists)
Knowledge of computer application and experience of working in a residential school is desirable.

For Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT): Four years integrated degree course with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject as well as in the aggregate.
OR A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 50% marks or above in aggregate as well as in the concerned subject comprising the combination (see PDF file given below for subject list)

Essential (For all posts): B.Ed or equivalent qualification from a recognized University and competence to teach through English and Hindi/ concerned Regional language.

Age Limit and Pay Scale:
For PGT: Maximum 40yrs. Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 with Grade Pay: Rs.4800/-
For TGT: maximum 35yrs. Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 with Grade Pay: Rs.4600/-
Upper age relaxation — Age will be counted as on 31/01/2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; and Others – As per norms.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination followed by Interview. For syllabus and details, see the Advt. given below.
The Written Examination for the recruitment to the above mentioned posts is likely to be held at following 22 cities (code of the cities is mentioned in the below given PDF file). For West Bengal, centre will be – Kolkata. 
The NavodayaVidyalayaSamiti through its exam conducting agency may send call letters for written test, interview etc. through the registered email ID.
Tentative date of written test is 27.04.2014 and candidates may download their Admit card from dated 31.03.2014.

How to Apply: Candidates are required to apply Online through Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti’s web-site at — www.navodaya.nic.in (See the live URL given below)

Candidates will require to upload scan image of Signature and passport size photograph. After uploading and filling the necessary details, submit the online Application form. Doing so will generate Login id and password and will be displayed on the screen. Candidates are advised to note down their login id and password for future use.
Candidates shall take a print-out of the Fee Payment Challan and shall deposit the Application Fee of Rs.560/- through any branch of Union Bank of India.
No fee is required to be paid by candidates belonging to SC / ST / PH categories and Women candidates. 

After depositing the prescribed Application Fee, revisit the website of NVS and login with Login ID and Password which has been generated earlier. Upon successful login, the candidate’s submitted Application form will appear on the screen. Now candidates shall insert the fee payment details and then submit it for final submission.
Upon final submission of Online Application form, system generated Registration Slip will appear on the computer screen. Print-out it and retain safely for future correspondence and verification.
Do not submit the print-out or hard copy of application to Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
