NCC SPECIAL ENTRY SCHEME 48TH COURSE (OCT 2020): SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION (NT) FOR MEN AND WOMEN (INCLUDING WARDS OF BATTLE CASUALTIES OF ARMY PERSONNEL)

No. of Vacancies: 55 Nos.
(i) NCC Men- 50 posts (45 for General Category and 05 for Wards of Battle Casualties of Army personnel)
(ii) NCC Women- 05 posts (04 for General Category and 01 for Wards of Battle Casualties of Army personnel))

 

Educational Qualification:
i) For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders:-
(a) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years. Candidates studying in final year are also eligible to apply provided they have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks in the first two/ three years of three/ four years degree course respectively.
(b) Should have served for minimum 03 academic years in the senior Division/ Wing of NCC.
(c) Should have obtained minimum of ‘B’ Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC.

 

ii) For Wards of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel:-
(a) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years.
(b) Should be wards (unmarried sons and unmarried daughters including legally adopted) of Battle casualties specified as:- Killed in action/ Died of wound or injuries (Other than self-inflicted)/ Wounded or Injured (Other than self-inflicted)/ Missing.
(c) NCC ‘C’ certificate not required for Wards of Battle Casualties.

 

Age Limit: Minimum 19 years and maximum 25 years as on 01/07/2020.

 

Pay Scale: Rs.56100 — Rs.177500

 

Only unmarried Male and unmarried Female candidates are eligible to apply.

Selected candidates will undergo Pre-Commission training at Officers Training Academy, Chennai. The candidates will be paid Stipend of Rs. 56,100/- per month during the training period at Officers Training Academy.

The candidates will be on Probation for a period of six (06) months from the date he/ she receives his/ her commission.


Note:-
Candidates can appear for only one of the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview, either SSC (NT)-112 Course (Oct 2020)/ SSC (NT) (Women)-26 Course (Oct 2020) as CDSE candidate OR NCC (Spl) Entry- 48 Course (Oct 2020).

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview and Medical Examination. Only shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centres, Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bangalore (Karnataka) and Kapurthala (PB).

Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination/interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course as well as such information will be also available in the official website of Indian Army — www.joinindianarmy.nic.in

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Indian Army — www.joinindianarmy.nic.in (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 08/01/2020 to 06/02/2020.

Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO INDIAN ARMY AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
