IIT Ropar is recruiting 34 boys and girls for the post of “Junior Assistant”, “Junior Lab Asst”, “Junior Technical Superintendent”, “Steno” and “Junior Accountant”. The age limit and the required qualification is given below –
Junior Assistant: 08 nos. (General-04, OBC-03, ST-01) Serial number-11
Qualification: Graduate in Any Discipline and knowledge of computer may apply for the post. Candidates with ability to work on MS Excel, PowerPoint and etc in computer application is desirable.
Junior Lab Assistant: 15 nos. (General-08, OBC-04, SC-02, ST-01). Serial number-12
Qualification: Graduate in Science stream with the following subject – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
Candidate with diploma course pass in-Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science and Engineering wells are eligible to apply.
Jr Technical Superintendent: 04 nos. (General-03, OBC-01). Serial number-08.
Qualification: M.SC in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics may apply for the post. Graduate candidates with subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and with experience of two years in the particular work/field may also apply.
MCA course along with one year experience may also apply, Engineering Degree course in B.E or B.Tech were also eligible to apply.
Steno: 3 Nos. (General). Serial No. 09
Qualification: Graduate in any discipline but with ability to type 80 words and 30 words per minute in English Shorthand and Typing.
Candidates should have ability to work on Computer and may have work experience of minimum 2 years.
Junior Accountant: 4 Nos. (Gen-03, OBC-01). Serial No. 10
Qualification: Graduate in Commerce and 2 years experience. Knowledge to work in Accounting Software in computer may apply for the post.
Required Age: For the posts from Serial No. 09 to 12, the age of the candidates should be 27yrs and for the post of Serial No.08, the age should be within 32 years. The age should be counted as on dated—30-11-2011. Age relaxation is as per govt. norms
Pay Scale: For posts in Serial No.09 to 12- Rs.5200 to Rs.20200 and for the post in Serial No.8- Rs.9300 to 39100.

- Attested Copy of Educational Certificate, Age and Caste Certificate
- Recent one copy of colour passport size photograph
- Bank draft of Rs. 50 in favour of – “Registrar, I IT Ropar” and write payable at – “Rupnagar, Punjab”. No fee required for SC/ST candidates.
On the top of the envelope containing the application form, write the name of the post in bold.
