The Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) is recruiting 197 Non-Executive on regular basis in the posts of – Junior Engineer (Civil/ Mech./ Elect.), Surveyor. Foreman, Jr. Executive Asst., Jr. Accountant, Asst. Teacher (TG), Jr. Pharmacist and Electrician-III. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format (See below). Educational qualification norms and eligibility criteria (given below in brief) are as follows —

1. Junior Engineer (Civil)
Number of Vacancies: 29 Nos. (Gen—16; SC—4; ST—7; SEBC—2)
Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Starting Basic Pay: Rs.9300 with Grade Pay: Rs.4200/-

2. Junior Engineer (Mechanical)
Number of Vacancies: 3 Nos. (ST—1; Gen—2)
Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Starting basic pay: Rs.9300 with Grade Pay: Rs.4200

3. Junior Engineer (Electrical)
Number of Vacancies: 7 Nos. (Gen—3; SC—1; ST—2; SEBC—1)
Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Starting basic pay: Rs.9300 with Grade Pay: Rs.4200

4. Surveyor:
Number of Vacancies: 31 Nos. (Gen—16; SC—5; ST—7; SEBC—3)
Qualification:  Diploma in Mines Survey with Survey certificate of Competency in Mining Survey from DGMS.
Starting basic pay: Rs.9300 with Grade Pay: Rs.4200

5. Foreman (Min.)
Number of Vacancies: 7 Nos. (Gen—3; SC—1; ST—3; SEBC—0)
Qualification: Diploma in Mining with Foreman Competency Certificate
Starting basic pay: Rs.9300 with Grade Pay: Rs.4200/-

6. Jr. Executive Asst. 
Number of Vacancies: 63 Nos. (Gen—28; SC—14; ST—19; SEBC—2)
Qualification: Degree in any discipline with Diploma in Computer Application (DCA). DCA is not applicable for candidates who have MCA, BCA, B.Sc (IT), B.Sc (CS), etc.
Starting basic pay: Rs.5200 with Grade Pay: Rs.2800/-

7. Jr. Accountant
Number of Vacancies: 23 Nos. (Gen—12; SC—4; ST—6; SEBC—3)
Qualification: Degree in Commerce with Diploma in Computer Application
Starting basic pay: Rs.5200 with Grade Pay: Rs.2800/-

8. Asst. Teacher (TG)
Number of Vacancies: 9 Nos. (Gen—5; SC—2; ST—2; SEBC—0)
Qualification:  B.A./ B.Sc with Bachelor’s Degree in Education
Starting basic pay: Rs.5200 with Grade Pay: Rs.2800/-

9. Jr. Pharmacist
Number of Vacancies: 9 Nos. (Gen—5; SC—2; ST—2; SEBC—0)
Qualification: 10+2 with Diploma in Pharmacy
Starting basic pay: Rs.5200 with Grade Pay: Rs.2800/-

10. Electrician-III 
Number of Vacancies: 11 Nos. (Gen—6; SC—2; ST—2; SEBC—1)
Qualification: HSC with ITI in Electrical, Lineman/ Wireman Trade with valid workman permits “A” certificate issued by the competent authority.
Starting basic pay: Rs.5640 with Grade Pay: Rs.2000/-

N.B: Candidates with equivalent qualification or qualification obtained through Correspondence/ Distance mode are not eligible to apply.

AGE LIMIT (for all vacancies): 
Minimum 18yrs and maximum 32yrs as on 31/03/2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

CANDIDATES’ SELECTION: 
Selection of the candidates will be on basis of performance in their academic qualification and Personal Interview.
Eligible candidates will be short listed on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination specified against each post.
