Odisha Public Service Commission – Online applications are invited from the prospective candidates through the proforma application form to be made available on the Website of the Commission (http://opsc.govin). The link for online application and submission shall be available from 29.03.2023 to 28.04.2023 (Note: 28.04.2023 is the last date for submission of Registered Online Application) for recruitment to 362(120-W) posts of Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) under (1) Water Resources Department (2) Works Department (3) H & UD Department of Government of Odisha and for recruitment to 29(09-W) posts of Assistant Executive Engineer (Mechanical) under Water Resources Department in Group-A of Odisha Engineering Service carrying the scale of pay in L of-pay matrix under ORSP Rules-2017 with usual dearness allowance and other allowances as may be sanctioned by the Government of Odisha from time to time.

Educational Qualification
A candidate must have possessed a Degree in Engineering in Civil for the post of AEE (Civil) and a Degree in Engineering in Mechanical for the post of AEE (Mechanical) or an equivalent qualification from any University or Institution recognized by the Government or he/she must be an Associated Member of the Institution of Engineers of India in Civil/Mechanical.
Age
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 (twenty-one) years as of 01.01.2023 and must not be above the age of 38 (thirty-eight) years as of 01.01.2021 i:e he or she must be born not earlier than 02.01.1983 and not later than 01.01.2002.
Application Fees
The candidates are exempted from payment of examination fees as per G.A Deptt. letter No.9897/Gen dated 11.04.2022.
Method of Selection
The Commission after receipt of the applications shall take steps to select the candidates on the basis of the highest of the valid GATE score of the preceding 03 years of the date of advertisement (including the year of advertisement).
The Commission, after verification of original certificates & documents, and valid GATE scores, shall select the name of suitable candidates in order of merit, as per availability of vacancies in different categories, and recommend for appointment to the post of AEEs to the Government.
Note
- Online applications submitted to OPSC, if found to be incomplete in any respect, are liable for rejection without entertaining any correspondence with the applicants on the score;
- A candidate found guilty of seeking support for his/her candidature by offering illegal gratification or applying pressure on any person connected with the conduct of the recruitment process or found indulging in any type of malpractice in course of the selection or otherwise, shall, in the addition to rendering himself/herself liable to criminal prosecution, be disqualified not only for the recruitment for which he/she is a candidate, but also may be debarred, either permanently or for a specified  period, from any recruitment or selection to be conducted by the Commission;
- Admission to the recruitment process will be provisional. If on verification at any stage of the recruitment process, it is found that a candidate does not fulfill all the eligibility conditions, his/her candidature will be liable to rejection. The decision of the Commission in regard to eligibility or otherwise of the candidate shall be final;
- This advertisement should not be construed as binding on the Government to make an appointment;
- Concession meant for S.E.B.C, S.0 & S.T by birth are admissible to the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribe of Odisha only;
- Any misrepresentation or suppression of information by the candidate in the application form will result in cancellation of his/her candidature or penalty, as decided by the Commission shall be imposed;
- Mere empanelment in the select list shall not confer any right for appointment unless the Government is satisfied after making such inquiry as may be deemed necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respects for appointment to the service.
