On the basis of the result of Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET), 2018 the candidates will be eligible to become Teachers for Classes-I to VIII in the schools of the State Govt., private aided schools and private unaided schools in the State of Odisha. ODISHA TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (OTET), 2018
Educational Qualification:
i) Category – A:
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 02 year Diploma in Elementary Education (CT or D.El.Ed.).
OR
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 02 year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002.
OR
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 04 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
OR
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 02 year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR,
Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
ii) Category – B:
Graduation and 02 year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and one year bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 04 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
OR
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 04 year B.A./ B.Sc, Ed or B.A. Ed./ B.Sc. Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and one year B.Ed. (Special Education).
Note: Relaxation of 5% minimum qualifying marks in Higher Secondary or graduation level, as the case may be, will be given to the candidates belonging to SC, ST, SEBC & PWD category.
Candidates having qualification or pursuing final year of any of the teacher education courses are also eligible to apply.
On the basis of the result of Odish Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET), 2018 the candidates will be eligible to become Teachers for Classes-I to VIII in the schools of the State Govt., private aided schools and private unaided schools in the State of Odisha.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination which will consist of two papers namely Paper-I and Paper-II.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.500/- (Rs.300/- for SC/ST candidates) as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Board of Secondary Education, Odisha — www.bseodisha.ac.in (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 12/11/2018 to 27/11/2018.
Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
