Office of the District Judge of Purulia, English Department, is inviting application on prescribed Application format for preparation of panel to fill up the existing and expected vacancies for the post of Lower Division Clerk in the Judgeship of Purulia. Eligible candidates may apply within below prescribed date. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria in brief is given below —
LOWER DIVISION CLERK: 29 Nos. (Existing vacancies—23nos; Expected vacancies—6)
Category wise distribution of vacancies: SC—6; SC-EC—2; ST—1; ST-EC—1; Gen—6; Gen-EC—5; Gen-sportsmen—1; Gen-PH—1; Gen-exserviceman—1; OBC-A—2; OBC-A-EC—1; OBC-B—2
Qualification Required: Madhyamik pass or equivalent and at least Certificate in Computer Training and satisfactory fingering speed in Computer operation. Knowledge in type writing is preferable.
Age Limits: between 18yrs to 40yrs as on 01-01-2013. Upper age relaxation is as per Govt. norms.
Pay scale: Rs.5400—25200 and Grade pay: Rs.2600/-
Admit Cards containing Venue, Date and Time of the test/s, and also other information, will be sent to the candidates in due course.

Candidates should enclose attested copies (attestation by Gazetted Officer) of testimonials and document in support of eligibility, 2 Nos. passport size photograph duly signed by the candidates (one in the Application form and other in the Admit Card), One self-addressed envelope (25cmX11cm) with affixed postal stamp of Rs.5/- and Indian Postal Order (IPO) of prescribed fee.
Application fee: Rs.200 for General category and Rs.50 for SC/ST candidates in form of Indian Postal Order (IPO) in favour of District Judge, Purulia payable at Purulia Head Post Office.
Candidates outside State West Bengal may apply as General candidates.
The Application, by speed post, ordinary post, Registered post (with or without A/D) must be submitted in a closed envelope on or before 08.03.2013. The applications may also be dropped at the respective container/box which will be placed in front of the door of the Office of the District Judge, Purulia.
