West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL), a Government of West Bengal Enterprise, is recruiting 1000 boys and girls for the post of “Office Executive”. Graduate candidates may apply online from the official website of WBSEDCL within the prescribed date. Notification No. MPP/2012/05. Details and eligibility criteria is given below—

1. Office Executive: 1000 Nos. (General- 460; SC-210; ST-60; OBC-A-100; OBC-B-70; PH-30; Sportsperson-20; Ex-Serviceman-50)

Qualification Required:—
Candidates must have done Graduation (in any discipline) with 50% marks in aggregate and with 50% marks in Higher Secondary level. And must have Computer certificate course from ‘O’ level course of DOEACC Society or one year of any course in Computer Application from recognised Institutes
OR
BBA or BCA or Bachelor Degree in Science with Honours with Statistics or Bachelor Degree in any stream with Computer Application / Computer Science as a pass subject with 50% in aggregate from a recognized University or 50% in HS with 3 years full time Degree in the Bachelor level with the subjects indicated in the foregoing lines of this provision.
Candidates who have adequate knowledge in Nepali/ Bengali is preferred.

Pay scale: Rs.6300—Rs.20200 and Grade pay—Rs.3600 per month plus other allowances.

Age limit: between 18yrs to 27yrs as on 1/1/2012. Relaxation for OBC-3yrs; SC/ST-5yrs; PH-10yrs; Sportsperson—5yrs and Ex-serviceman—as per norms.
Relaxation Eligibility: Only SC/ST/PH/OBC/Ex-Serviceman/ Sportspersons candidates of West Bengal will only avail the facility of relaxation. Candidates of other States should apply as General Candidates.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection will be made through Written Test, Computer Proficiency Test and Interview. Written Test/ Computer Test and Interview will be held in Kolkata only.
The Written Test will cover the following topics—(i) General Awareness & Current Affairs, (ii) Logical Reasoning, (iii) English Language, (iv) Numerical Aptitude, (v) Data Analysis and Sufficiency and(vi) Computer Awareness (MS OFFice). Computer Proficiency Test shall cover MS Office.

Exact date and venue will be intimated to the eligible candidates through Admit Card. Intimation regarding Admit card will be made through E-mail and SMS on and by 05/07/2012.
Written Test will be on dated 15/07/2012.
