337 Boys and Girls as Geologist, Junior Hydro Geologist and Assistant Hydrologist under Geological Survey of India and Central Ground Water.

Central Government’s—Recruitments of 337 Boys/Girls for the post of “Geologist Group-A” under Geological Survey of India and “Junior Hydro Geologist (scientist-B), Group-A” & “Assistant Hydrologist, Group-B” under Central Ground Water is going on. Required qualification and details were given below.

1. Geologist Group-A: 300 Nos.
Qualification: Post Graduate boys/girls in Geochemistry, Geological Science, Geology, Applied Geology, Geo exploration, Mineral exploration, engineering Geology, Marine Geology, Science and resource Management, Oceanography and Coastal Area Studies or Petroleum Geo Science may apply for the post.

2. Junior Hydrologist, Group-A: 7 Nos.
Qualification: Master Degree course in Hydrology or Geology, Applied Geology, Marine Geology may apply for the post.

3. Assistant Hydro Geologist, Group-B: 30 Nos.
Qualification: Same as above post (Junior Hydrologist)

Age: Candidates’ age should be between 21yrs to 32yrs as counted on 1-1-2011. Age relaxation for candidates under categories of—SC/ST- 5yrs; OBC-3yrs; PH-10yrs, Ex-serviceman- 5yrs and govt.’ staff- as per norms.

Candidates Selection: Candidates will be selected through Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)’s ‘Geologist Examination- 2011’. Written test will hold on 3rd December at their respective centres.

How to Apply: Application can be made either through Offline or Online.
Online application can be made from official site of UPSC—http://upsconline.nic.in.
For online application candidates will require to pay Exam fee of Rs.100 by cash depositing in any branch of State Bank of India or through net-banking/Credit card/Debit card. No fee requires for women and SC/ST candidates.

Candidates from remote area may opt for offline application. For offline application, candidates will have to pay Rs.30/ as the cost of application form available in their area.
On the top of the envelope containing application form, super scribe—“Geologist Examination, 2011” and should be send at the following address either through ordinary post or speed post—“Controller of the Examination, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi- 110 069”.

Last Date to Apply: Online or Offline application should be made/reached by last 19th September 2011.
