III (Transport), Assistant Technician (Electronics), Security Supervisor, Assistant Gd.III (Accounts), Assistant Gd.III (Materials Management), Junior Assistant (Accounts), Junior Assistant (P&A), Junior Security Supervisor and Junior Motor Vehicle Driver (HV) for ONGC , Chennai. ONGC INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS POSTS. ADVT. NO.SS/2/CHN/2014. LAST DATE – 27/10/2014.
1. Assistant Gd.III (Transport): 1 Nos. (1 UR)
Educational Qualification: 3 yrs Diploma (60% for UR & 50% for SC) in Auto/ Mechanical Engineering/Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management/Administration OR Post Graduate and shall have valid Driving License.
2. Assistant Technician (Technicians): 7 Nos. (4 UR, 2 SC & 1 OBC)
Educational Qualification: 3 yrs Diploma (60% for UR & 50% for SC) in Electronics/Telecom/E&T Engineering OR M.Sc in Physics with Electronics.
3. Security Supervisor: 1 Nos. (1 UR)
Educational Qualification: Graduate (60% for UR & 50% for SC)) and 1 year experience in the security.
Physical Standards:
For Male Candidates: (I) Height: 168cms (for tribes/hill men – 163cms) (ii) Chest Measurement (Expanded): 86cms, (IV) Chest Measurement (Un-Expanded): 81.
For Female Candidates: (I) Height: 152cms (5cms less for tribes/hill men) (ii) Weight: Not less than 46kg.
4. Assistant Gd. III (Accounts): 1 Nos. (1 UR)
Educational Qualification: PG Degree in Commerce or Graduate in Commerce (60% for UR & 50% for SC) and 1 year Diploma in finance & Accounts/ICWA (Inter/ CA (Inter).
5. Assistant Gd.III (Materials Management): 2 Nos. (2 UR)
Educational Qualification: 3 yrs Diploma in Materials Management/ Inventory/ Stock Control / 1 Yr PG Diploma in Material Management (60% for UR & 50% for SC).
6. Junior Assistant (Accounts): 1Nos. (1UR)
Educational Qualification: B.Com (60% for UR & 50% for SC)) and Typing 30 wpm and 6 Months Certificate/ Diploma in Computer Application.
7. Junior Assistant (P&A): 1 Nos. (1 UR)
Educational Qualification: Graduate (60% for UR & 50% for SC) and Typing Speed 30wpm and 6 Months Certificate/Diploma in Computer Application.
8. Junior Security Supervisor: 2 Nos. (2 UR)
Educational qualification: 12th Pass (60% for UR & 50% for SC) and 6 Months training/ experience in security.
Physical Standards:
For Male Candidates: (i) Height 163cms (for tribes/hill men160cms), (ii) Chest Measurement (Expanded) 84cms, (iii) Chest Measurement (Un-Expanded) 79cms.
For Female Candidates: (i) Height 152cms (5cms less for tribes/hill men) (ii) Weight: depend on height but not less than 46kg.
9. Junior Motor Vehicle Driver (HV): 2 Nos. (2UR)
Educational Qualification: 10th Pass (60% for UR & 50% for SC) and valid driving license.
Pay Scale (from Sl. No 1 to 5): Rs 12000 to 27000/-PM and Basic Pay 3% with other allowances
Pay Scale (from Sl. No 6 to 9): Rs 11000 to 24000/-PM and Basic Pay 3% with other allowances.
Note: Candidates must have valid Employment Exchange Registration Card of Tamil Nadu.
Age Limit (For all above posts): 18 to 30 as on 27.09.2014. The upper age limit is relaxation for SC/ST-5yrs, OBC-3yrs, PWD and others-as per govt. norms.
Mode of Selection:
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Physical Standards Test (wherever applicable), Physical Efficiency Test (wherever applicable), Typing Test, HV Driving skills Test and Interview. Centre for written test will be conducted at Chennai.
Physical Efficiency Test (for Security Supervisor and Jr. Security Supervisor posts only):
For Male Candidates: (i) Race 1.6 kms in 8 mins (ii) Long Jump 9 feet (3 chances) (iii) High Jump 3 ½ feet (3 chances)
For Female Candidates: (i) Race 800 mtrs in 6 mins (ii) Long Jump 8 feet (3 chances) (iii) High Jump 3 feet (3 chances).

Upon submission of online application, the system generated Registration slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it and shall retain the same for future references.
Application Fee: Candidates shall pay application fee of Rs 300/- (For Gen/OBC) and Rs 100/- (For SC/ST, PWD & Ex-Servicemen candidates). Candidates have to deposit the Registration Fee through the Fee payment Challan Form, in any branch of State Bank of India.
