Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) is recruiting 842 Graduate Trainees in various disciplines and posts, viz. – Asst. Executive Engineer (Cementing/ Civil/ Drilling/ Electrical/ Environment/ Instrumentation/ Mechanical/ Production/ Reservoir), Asst. Legal Advisor, Chemist, Officers and Etc. Advertisement No.1/2014 (R&P). Eligible candidates may apply online (see below). Qualification norms and brief details are given below —

Name of the Posts, No. of vacancies and Minimum Essential Qualification are as follows —
1. Assistant Executive Engineer (Cementing): 31 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate Degree in Mechanical/ Petroleum Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

2. Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil): 10 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

3. Assistant Executive Engineer (Drilling): 110 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate Degree in Mechanical/ Petroleum Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

4. Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical): 47 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 60% marks. Should have certificate of competency as Electrical Supervisor

5. Assistant Executive Engineer (Electronics): 18 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate Degree in Electronics/ Telecom/ E&T Engineering with minimum 60% marks OR Post Graduate Degree in Physics with Electronics with minimum 60% marks.

6. Assistant Executive Engineer (Environment): 6 Nos.
Qualification: Engineering graduate in Environment Engg./ Environment Science with minimum 60% marks OR Post Graduate Degree in Physics with Electronics with minimum 60% marks.

7. Assistant Executive Engineer (Instrumentation): 23 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate Degree in Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

8. Assistant Executive Engineer (Mechanical): 72 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

9. Assistant Executive Engineer (Production): 217 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate Degree in Mechanical/Chemical/ Petroleum/ Applied Petroleum Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

10. Assistant Executive Engineer (Reservoir): 14 Nos.
Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Geology/ Chemistry/ Geophysics/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Petroleum Technology with minimum 60% marks (must have Mathematics/ Physics at B.Sc level) OR Graduate degree in Chemical/ Petroleum/ Applied Petroleum Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

11. Assistant Legal Advisor: 6 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate Degree in Law (Professional) with minimum 60% marks. Practicing advocate with 3yrs experience would be preferred

12. Chemist: 74 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate Degree in Chemical Engineering with minimum 60% marks OR Post Graduate in Chemistry with minimum 60% marks.

13. Finance & Accounts Officer: 42 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate Degree with ICWA/ CA or MBA with specialization in Finance with minimum 60% marks.

14. Fire Officer: 8 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate Degree in Fire Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

15. Geologist: 41 Nos.
Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Geology with minimum 60% marks OR M.Sc or M.Tech (Petroleum Geo-Science/ Petroleum Geology/ Geological Technology) with minimum 60% marks.

16. Geophysicist (Surface): 28 Nos.
Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Geophysics or Physics with Electronics with minimum 60% marks OR M.Tech (Geophysical Technology) with minimum 60% marks.

17. Geophysicist (Wells): 22 Nos.
Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Geophysics or Physics with Electronics with minimum 60% marks OR M.Tech (Geophysical Technology) with minimum 60% marks.

18. HR Executive: 12 Nos.
Qualification: MBA with specialization in Personnel Management / HRD/ HRM with minimum 60% marks OR Post Graduate Degree in Personnel Management/ IR/ Labour Welfare with minimum 60% marks OR Minimum 2yrs full time post graduate diploma in PM/IR/ Labour Welfare with minimum 60% marks.

19. Marine Officer: 4 Nos.
Qualification: Ministry of Transport’s Certificate of competency of Master Foreign Going with 3yrs experience as Second Officer. Should be conversant with Mercantile Marine Department/ Ports and Customs Rules and Regulations

20. Materials Management Officer: 22 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate Degree in Auto/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Petroleum/ Applied Petroleum/ Chemical / Civil/ Electronics/ Telecom/ E&T/ Environment/ Fire/ Computer Engineering with minimum 60% marks OR MBA with specialization in Materials management/ Inventory Control with minimum 60% marks OR Graduate degree with PG Diploma in Materials Management awarded by IIMM recognized for the purpose of recruitment to superior posts in the Central Government with minimum 60% marks.

21. Medical Officer: 12 Nos.
Qualification: MBBS with Valid Registration.

22. Programming Officer: 4 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate Degree in Computer Engineering with minimum 60% marks OR Post Graduate in Computer Application (MCA)/ Computer Science with minimum 60% marks OR ‘B’ level diploma as defined by Deptt. of Electronics, GOI.

23. Security Officer: 7 Nos.
Qualification: Post Graduate Degree with 2yrs service with either Armed Forces or Central Police Organization.

24. Transport Officer: 12 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate degree in Auto/ Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks OR MBA with minimum 60% marks.

Age Limit: For all posts except Drilling and Cementing is maximum 30yrs as on 11/4/2014. For Drilling and Cementing, the maximum age is 28yrs as on 11/4/2014.
Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination and Interview. written test will be tentatively hold on 22/06/2014. Exact date and venue will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course.
Written Test will be held in more than one cities, viz – Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi including NCR, Dehradun, Guahati, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ranchi and Visakhapatnam.

Application Fee: General and OBC candidates shall pay Rs.500/- and SC/ST/PH candidates shall pay Rs.100/-. Fee is to be deposited at any branch of State Bank of India through challan. Fee challan can be downloaded the ONGC’s website. Fee can be also paid through net banking or Debit/Credit card during submission of online Application form.

After successful submission of online Application form, candidates shall print-out the system generated Acknowledgement/ Registration slip for future correspondence and verification. There is no need to send the print-out or any other documents to ONGC.
