Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for the posts of Graduate Trainees (Engineering and Geo Sciences discipline). Interested and eligible candidates may apply Online only through the official website of the ONGC (See URL below). Advt. No. 6/2015 (R&P). Selection will be through GATE-2016. ONGC INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR POSTS OF GRADUATE TRAINEES FOR ENGINEERING AND GEO-SCIENCES DISCIPLINE THROUGH GATE- 2016 . LAST DATE — After Jan – 2016 (Tentative)

 

Name of the Posts and Qualification:-

1. AEE (Cementing)
Qualification: Graduate degree in Mechanical/Petroleum Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

 

2. AEE (Civil)
Qualification: Graduate degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

 

3. AEE (Drilling)
Qualification: Graduate degree in Mechanical/Petroleum Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

 

4. AEE (Electrical)
Qualification: Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 60% marks and should have certificate of competency as Electrical Supervisor.

 

5. AEE (Electronics)
Qualification: Graduate degree in Electronic/ Telecom/ E&T Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

 

6. AEE (Instrumentation)
Qualification: Graduate degree in Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

 

7. AEE (Mechanical)
​Qualification: Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

 

8. AEE (Production)
​Qualification: Graduate degree in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Petroleum Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

 

9. AEE (Reservoir)
​Qualification: Graduate degree in Chemical/ Petroleum Engineering with minimum 60% marks OR Post Graduate degree in Geology/ Chemistry/ Geophysics/ Mathematics/ Physiccs/ Petroleum Technology with minimum 60% marks.

 

10. Chemist
Qualification: Post Graduate in Chemistry with minimum 60% marks.

 

11. Geologist
​Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Geology  or M.Tech/M.SC in Petroleum Geology or M.Tech in Geological Technology with minimum 60% marks.

 

12. Geophysicist (Surface)
Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Geophysics with minimum 60% marks.

 

13. Geophysicist (Wells)
Qualification: Post Graduate degee in Geophysics/ Geophysical Technology with minimum 60% marks.

 

14. Materials Manager Officer
Qualification: Graduate degree in Auto/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Petroleum/ Chemical/ Civil/ Electronics/ E&T/ Telecom/ Computer/ Information Technology Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

 

15. Programming Officer
​Qualification: Graduate degree in Computer/ Information Technology Engineering with minimum 60% marks or Post Graduate in Computer Application (MCA)/ Computer Science Science with minimum 60% marks OR ‘B’ level diploma as defined by Dept. of Electronics.

 

16. Transport Officers
Qualification: Graduate degree in Auto Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

 

All the required qualification should be through regular mode education. Candidates with distance learning mode are not eligible for the above listed vacancies in ONGC.

Age Limit: Maximum 30 years (maximum 28 years for the post of Drilling/Cementing) as on 01/01/2016. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD & as per Govt. norms for Ex-Servicemen & others.

 

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.24900/- – Rs.50500/- plus other allowances as per norms.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of ONGC — www.ongcindia.com (See link to Application form given below). Submission of Online Application form will begin after January – 2016 (Tentatively)

Candidates willing to apply for any one of the above said posts in ONGC will first have to sit for GATE- 2016, i.e. candidates will have to apply separately for GATE- 2016 and then for ONGC.

GATE- 2016 online Application form can be submitted from dated 01/09/2015 to 01/10/2015 and ONGC online application will be available after January, 2016 (tentatively). See officially released advertisement for more details.
