Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Western Offshore Unit, Mumbai, is inviting application from candidates with valid registration in any of the Employment Exchanges located within the State of Maharashtra, for the various posts, such as Assistant Technician, Rigman, Junior Assistant Technician, Jr. Assistant, Driver, Fireman and Etc. Matric with 60% Marks for General/OBC & 50% Marks for SC/ST with second class Certificate with Proficiency/ Competency in Marine Radio Operation Recognized by Govt. of India with Global Maritime Distress and Safety (GMDSS) certification issued by the Ministry of Communication (MoC) and one year experience in line. OR Radio Telephone Operator’s Certificate of Proficiency in Maritime Mobile Service with Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) certification issued by the Ministry of Communication (MoC) and one year experience in line. OR Diploma in Electronics/ Telecom with 60% Marks for General/OBC & 50% Marks for SC/ST with Global Maritime Distress and Safety Systems (GMDSS) certification issued by the Ministry of Communication (MoC), Govt. of India with one year experience in line.
Note: Candidates shall have valid registration in any of the Employment Exchanges located within the State of Maharashtra. i.e Candidate’s Name and essential qualifications must be registered in the Employment Exchange on or before closing date of online registration process.
Age Limit: Minimum 18yrs and maximum 30 years as on last date of Online Application, i.e. 15/07/2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Candidates’ Selection: The selection methodology will comprise of (1) Written Test, (2) Physical Tests (Wherever Applicable) and (3) Personal interview. The candidates will have to qualify at each stage separately and in aggregate. See the PDF below for more details.
Registration/ Processing Fee of Online Application: Rs.300/- only (Rs.100 for SC/ST/PWD & Ex-Serviceman). Fee is to be paid by means of SBI Fee payment Challan which can be downloaded from the ONGC’s website (See URL below)

Once the candidate submits the online Application, the System will generate a unique Registration Number. Take a printout of your Registered Application (Registration Slip) by clicking on Print Registration slip. Registration slip will consist of your basic details like name, category, post(s) applied for, Written Test Discipline and test centre opted etc. KEEP THE PRINT-OUT SAFELY FOR FUTURE CORRESPONDENCE. DO NOT SEND IT TO ONGC AT THIS STAGE.
