Odisha Public Service Commission (Odisha PSC) will be conducting Odisha Civil Services Examination, 2019 and on the basis of the result of this Examination the candidates will be selected for recruitment to various Posts and Services coming under the Odisha Civil Services (Group-A and Group-B). Total 153 posts will be filled on the basis of the results of this examination. Total Vacancies: 153 Nos.
The name of the Posts/ Services to which recruitment is to be made on the results of Odisha Civil Services Examination, 2019 and the approximate number of vacancies in the various posts are as follows wise vacancies:-
i) Odisha Administrative Service, Group-A (Junior Branch)- 30 posts
ii) Odisha Police Service, Group-A (Junior Branch)- 07 posts
iii) Odisha Finance Service, Group-A (Junior Branch)- 09 posts
iv) Odisha Co-operative Service (ARCS/ AGCS), Group-B- 05 posts
v) Odisha Revenue Service, Group-B- 82 posts
vi) Odisha Taxation & Accounts Service, Group-B- 20 posts
Educational Qualification: i) Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University or Institution.
ii) The candidate must be able to read, write and speak Odia, and have-
a) Passed Middle School examination with Odia as a language subject, or
b) Passed HSC or equivalent examination with Odia as a medium of examination in non-language subject, or
c) Passed in Odia as Language subject in the final examination of Class-VII from a school or educational institution recognized by the Govt. of Odisha or the Central Govt., or
d) Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department of Govt. of Odisha.
Age Limit: Above 21 years and below 32 years as on 01/01/2019.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ ST/ SEBC/ Women/ Ex-servicemen and 10 years for PWD category.
Odisha Public Service Commission (Odisha PSC) will be conducting Odisha Civil Services Examination, 2019 and on the basis of the result of this Examination the candidates will be selected for recruitment to various Posts and Services coming under the Odisha Civil Services (Group-A and Group-B).
Reserved Category candidates from the states other than Odisha will be treated as General Category candidates.
Physical Standards (For Odisha Police Service only):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 165 cm (160 cm for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 79 cm; Chest (expanded) — 84 cm
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 150 (145 cm for ST candidates); Chest — 74 cm; Chest (expanded) — 79 cm
Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Personality Test or Interview. Both Preliminary Examination and Main Examination will be held at five zonal centres of the State namely Balasore, Nerhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Sambalpur depending on the number of candidates from respective zones. Candidates who have opted for the Odisha Police Service will be required to undergo Physical Standard Test.

NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC, ST OF ODISHA AND PWD CANDIDATES.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ODISHA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (ODISHA PSC) AT THIS STAGE.
