Ordnance Depot Alipore, Kolkata requires 12 Mazdoor, Cook, Driver & Fireman. Last Dt. 29/08/2014

Ministry of Defence — Ordnance Depot Alipore, Kolkata is recruiting 12 Mazdoor (Tradesman Mate), Cook, Driver and Fireman. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format along with testimonials in support of eligibility. Educational Qualification norms and brief details are as follows —

ORDNANCE DEPOT ALIPORE REQUIRES 12 MAZDOOR, COOK, DRIVER, FIREMAN, ETC. LAST DATE – 29/08/2014.

1. Mazdoor (Now Tradesman Mate)
Number of Vacancies: 8 Nos. (Gen—4; OBC—2; SC—2)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent. Candidates shall be physically fit and able to do strenuous duties.
Knowledge of Hindi is desirable.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1800/- plus other allowances as per norms per month

2. Cook (NCUE)
Number of Vacancies: 1 Nos. (OBC)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and Diploma in cooking from any ITI/ Vocational College or etc.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1900/- plus other allowances as per norms per month

3. Civilian Motor Driver (CMD) (Ordinary Grade)
Number of Vacancies: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Must possess civilian driving licence for heavy vehicles and have minimum two years experience of driving such vehicles.
Qualification upto Matriculation or equivalent is desirable.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1900/- plus other allowances as per norms.

4. Fireman / Fireman (Carry Forward)
Number of Vacancies: 2 Nos. (OBC—1; Gen-PH/HH— 1)
Qualification: Matriculation and must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must meet the following physical standards —
(i) Height without shoes minimum 165 cms.
(ii) Chest ( un-expanded) minimum 81.5 cms
(iii) Chest (on expansion) minimum 85 cms
(iv) Weight minimum 50 Kgs
Candidates shall qualify the following Endurance Test —
(i) Carrying a man (Fire lift) of 63.5 Kgs to distance of 183 mtrs with in 96 seconds
(ii) Clearing 2.7 mtrs wide ditch landing on both feet (Long jump)
(iii) Climbing 3 mtrs vertical rope using hand & feet

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years for the post of Mazdoor, Cook and Fireman AND maximum age for the post of CMD (Driver- Ordinary Grade) is 27 years, as on last date of receipt of application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Practical test/ Trade test (wherever applicable) and/or Interview. See the PDF file given below for details.
The date and time of test and interview will be intimated by post separately. Test/Interview will be held at Ordnance Depot, Alipore, Kolkata-27 on dates mentioned in acknowledgement card/call letter.

How to Apply: The eligible and interested candidates shall apply on the prescribed application format only along with attested copies of testimonials in support of eligibility, such as Qualification Certificate, Age proof, Residential Proof, Caste certificate and Etc. All the enclosures shall be attested by Gazetted Officer.
Candidates must also enclose a self-addressed envelope of size 25cms x 10cms affixed with postal stamp of Rs.25/-

Last Date and Address: The duly filled Application form along with enclosures shall be sent by Ordinary/ Registered Post/ Speed Post at the following address — “Commandant, Ordnance Depot, Alipore, Kolkata-27”.
The envelope enclosing the application form is to be boldly enfaced on top with “Unreserved (Gen)/SC/OBC/ Ex-Serviceman candidate/Physically Handicapped (HH)
