Ordnance Equipment Factory (OEF), Kanpur (UP), is recruiting 205 candidates in Group ‘C’ posts in Semi-skilled Grade  in different trades, namely — Welder, Carpenter, Electrician, Fitter, Machinist, Leather Worker and Tailor. Interested and eligible candidates shall apply Online through the official website of the Factory. Educational qualification norms and eligibility criteria, in brief, are given below —

GROUP ‘C’ SEMI-SKILLED GRADE POSTS: —
1. Welder: 15 Nos. (Gen—7; SC—4; OBC—4). Ex-Servicemen—1 Nos.
2. Carpenter: 10 Nos. (Gen—6; SC—2; OBC—2). Ex-Servicemen—1 Nos.
3. Electrician: 10 Nos. (Gen—6; SC—2; OBC—2). Ex-Servicemen—1 Nos.
4. Fitter General:  1 Nos. (SC).
5. Machinist Leather: 30 Nos. (Gen—16; SC—6; OBC—8). Ex-Servicemen: 3 Nos.
6. Leather Worker: 23 Nos. (Gen—11; SC—6; ST—6). Ex-Servicemen—02 Nos.
7. Tailor (Men): 116 Nos (Gen—59; SC—25; ST—1; OBC—31). Ex-Servicemen—11 Nos.

Educational/ Technical Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent examination pass AND NAC/NTC in relevant trades, such as – Welder (Gas & Electric), Carpenter, Electrician, Tailor, Fitter General, Sports Goods Maker, Leather Goods Maker, Footwear Maker, Upholsterer.

Age Limit: Minimum 18yrs and maximum 32yrs as on last date of Online Application, i.e. 21/03/2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Candidates’ Selection: The selection of the candidates will be through Written Test and Trade (Practical) Test.
Written test of 100 marks shall be fully objective type and OMR based. The duration of written examination will be of 02 hours.
The syllabus for the trade test (practical) will be as per trade test specification of the Semi-skilled grade of the relevant trade.
Dates of Written Examination & Admit cards to the eligible candidates will be uploaded on the factory’s website in due course.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply Online only through the official website of Ordnance Equipment Factory — www.oefkanpur.gov.in (See live URL given below) from dated 01/03/2014 to 21/03/2014.
After submitting the On Line Application and uploading passport size photograph and signature in digital format (jpg or jpeg file of less than 1 MB size each), a unique Serial No. will be generated automatically. This Serial No. and date of Birth (both) of the candidate should be used for downloading the filled in Application form. The candidate should take print of dully filled in Application form in two copies.
Out of two copies, one copy is to be retained by the candidates for future correspondence and one copy to be sent along with IPO/Bank Draft and Attested copies of following testimonials, to the below given postal address.
Enclosures— Candidates must enclose attested copies of Educational and Technical qualification certificate, Age proof Certificate, Caste certificate (in case of SC/ST/OBC), Discharge certificate (for Ex-Servicemen) and Etc, along with the Application form.

Demand Draft/ Indian Postal Order: Candidates shall prepare a Crossed Bank Draft or IPO of Rs.50/- only drawn in favour of THE GENERAL MANAGER OEF, KANPUR.
No Fee required for SC/ST/ Ex-Servicemen/PWD candidates and all Female Candidates.
