Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), under Ministry of Home Affairs, is recruiting 123 persons as a Para Medical Staff in the posts of – Inspector, Sub Inspector, Assistant Sub Inspector, Head Constable and Constable in various discipline/ Trades. Eligible candidates may apply on prescribed format. No. of posts and qualification criteria is given below—
1. Inspector (Dietician): 1 Nos. (General)
Qualification: B.Sc (Home Science/ Home Economics) with nutrition as a subject or equivalent.
Candidates must have done Diploma in dietetics or Master Degree in Home Science (Food and Nutrition)
Age: within 30yrs
2. Sub Inspector (Staff Nurse): 55 Nos. (Gen—30; SC—7; ST—4; OBC—14)
Qualification: Higher Secondary pass and must have done General Nursing and Midwifery course as well as registered with State/ Central Nursing Council.
Age: between 21yrs to 30yrs.
3. Assistant Sub Inspector (Operation Theatre Technician): 5 Nos. (Gen—4; OBC—1)
Qualification: Matriculation with Science as a subject and with certificate of Operation Theatre Assistant Course OR Theatre Assistant-cum-Central Sterile supply assistant training.
Age: between 20yrs to 25yrs.
4. Assistant Sub Inspector (Electro Cardiograph Technician): 2 Nos. (General)
Qualification: Matriculation with Science as a subject And Certificate in Electro Cardiograph Technology.
Age: between 20yrs to 25yrs
5. Assistant Sub-Inspector (Dental Technician): 3 Nos. (General)
Qualification: Matriculation with Science and must have registered as Dental Technician with 2yrs of diploma course.
Age: between 18yrs to 25yrs.
6. Assistant Sub Inspector (Physiotherapist): 2 Nos. (General)
Qualification: Intermediate or Higher Secondary with Science. Bachelor in Physiotherapy or 3yrs of diploma in Physiotherapy.
Age: between 20yrs to 25yrs.
7. Head Constable (Jr) (X-Ray Assistant): 2 Nos. (General)
Qualification: Matriculation with Science and Diploma or Certificate of 2yrs in Radio diagnosis.
Age: same as above.
8. Head Constable (Lab Asst. Blood Bank): 1 Nos. (General)
Qualification: Matriculation with Science and with Certificate of Laboratory Assistant.
Age: within 25yrs
9. Head Constable (Air Conditioning Plant Technician): 1 Nos. (General)
Qualification: Matriculation and with Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning from ITI or 3yrs of apprenticeship from recognised Institutions.
Age: between 20yrs to 25yrs
10. Head Constable (Steward): 4 Nos. (Gen—3; OBC—1)
Qualification: Matriculation and with Diploma in food and beverage services.
Age: between 18yrs to 25yrs.
11. Head Constable (Electrician): 2 Nos. (General)
Qualification: Matriculation and with Diploma in Electrician Trade from Polytechnic or ITI or equivalent.
Age: between 20yrs to 25yrs.
12. Head Constable (Lab Assistant): 3 Nos. (General)
Qualification: Matriculation with Science and with Certificate of Laboratory Assistant’s Course.
Age: same as above.
13. Constable (Peon): 14 Nos. (Gen—9; SC—1; ST—1; OBC—3)
Qualification: Matriculation and should have knowledge of cycling
Age: between 18yrs to 25yrs.
14. Constable (Mosalchi): 10 Nos. (Gen—7; SC—1; OBC—2)
Qualification: Matriculation and with two yrs of experience in respective trade OR with certificate course of one year from ITI or vocational institute and one year of experience OR with 2yrs of diploma course from ITI in the trade or similar trade.
Age: between 18yrs to 25yrs.
15. Constable (Ward Boy/ Ward Girl/ Ayah): 14 Nos. (Gen—9; SC—1; ST—1; OBC—3)
Qualification: Same as above but in respective trade.
Age: same as above.
16. Constable (Table Boy): 4 Nos. (Gen—3; OBC—1)
Qualification: same as above but in respective trade.
Age : same as above.
The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent. Age will be counted as on 31/08/2012. Upper relaxation and seats reservation for Ex-Serviceman (in the posts of Head Constable/ Constable) is as per norms.
Selection of candidates will be through Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Test, Practical/ Trade test and Viva voce. Written Test will be OMR based of 200 marks and Practical Test and Viva voce will be of 50 marks.

How to Apply: Application is to be prepared as per prescribed format by neatly typing on a plain paper. Candidates should enclose all the requisite documents in support of Qualification, Age, Caste, professional qualification and any other relevant documents. Also enclosed –
- 2 Nos. latest passport size photographs (one pasted on form and another on Candidate’s Admission card)
- 2 Nos. self-address envelope (4×9 inches) with postal stamp of Rs.5 affixed on each
- IPO/ CRF or Bank Draft of Rs.50 (for General and OBC candidates only)
The top of the application containing envelope should be super-scribed — “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ________ IN ITBP”.
