Department of Health and Family Welfare, DH&FWS, Siliguri is inviting application for 11 posts of Laboratory Technician, Phlebotomist, Peer Support, Medical Technologist (Critical Care) and Para Medical Worker. The vacancies are under various Health Programmes namely National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP), National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP), National Viral Hepatitis Control Program (NVHCP) and National Leprosy Eradication Programme (NLEP) under SMP, Darjeeling. The candidates will be appointed on Temporary/ Contractual basis upto November, 2020 or 31/03/2021 or One (01) year and further extendable subject to satisfactory performance of the candidates (wherever applicable). DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE, DH&FWS, SILIGURI IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 11 LABORATORY TECHNICIAN, PHLEBOTOMIST, PEER SUPPORT, MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST (CRITICAL CARE) AND PARA MEDICAL WORKER. LAST DATE — 03/11/2020

 

1. LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos. (UR-01, ST-01) (Under District Tuberculosis Officer, Darjeeling (01 post for C&DST Lab, North Bengal Medical College and 01 post for Matigara BPHC))

Educational Qualification: i) Intermediate (10+2) and Diploma or certified course in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent.
ii) Applicants should have at least 50% marks in all requisite qualification.

Desirable: i) One year experience in RNTCP (NTEP) or sputum Smear microscopy.
ii) Candidate with higher qualification (for example Graduates) will be preferred.

Age Limit: Minimum 22 years and maximum 40 years as on 01/01/2020.

Consolidated Pay: Rs.17220 per month

 

2. PHLEBOTOMIST

No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (UR-02, SC-01) (Siliguri District Hospital)

Educational Qualification: Class 12th pass with Science background.

Desirable: Trained in Laboratory Technology/ Phlebotomy/ Certificate course in Laboratory Technology (at least 06 months) or DLMT/ BLMT.

Age Limit: Maximum 40 years as on 01/01/2020.

Consolidated Pay: Rs.5000 per month

 

3. PEER SUPPOR

No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR) (North Bengal Medical College)

Educational Qualification: i) The Peer Support should be a person preferably with or recovered from the disease (hepatitis a or hepatitis C), with a minimum of H.S (12th) level education.
ii) He/ she must also have sound knowledge of the local language and working knowledge of English.
iii) Excellent skills in oral and written expression and complete proficiency in computer operations.

Age Limit: Maximum 40 years as on 01/01/2020.

Consolidated Pay: Rs.10000 per month

 

4. MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST (CRITICAL CARE)

No. of Vacancies: 04 Nos. (UR-02, SC-01, ST-01) (Under Chief Medical Officer of Health, Darjeeling)

Educational Qualification: i) Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or it’s equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
ii) Two years diploma in Critical Care Technology from State Medical Faculty, West Bengal or Bachelor degree in Critical Care Technology from any recognized University.

Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 39 years as on 01/01/2020.

Consolidated Pay: Rs.20000 per month

 

5. PARA MEDICAL WORKER

No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR) (Under ZLO, Darjeeling)

Educational Qualification: i) High School/ Higher Secondary.
ii) Holding certificate of PMW training.
OR
MSW/ B.Sc with 03 years experience in the field of health.
iii) Working knowledge of computers.

Desirable: i) Experience in Leprosy.
ii) Resident of the Naxalbari and Matigara Block.

Age Limit: Maximum 40 years as on 01/01/2020.

Consolidated Pay: Rs.16000 per month

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable as per Govt. norms.
