Sarva Shiksha Mission, Paschim Medinipur, is recruiting 247 Nos. Boys and Girls for the post of “Para Teacher” at Primary Level Schools in the block of Gopiballavpur—I, Gopiballavpur—II, Binpur—I, Binpur—II, Jhargram, Jamboni, Nayagram, Sankrail Block of Jhargram Sub-division and Midnapore sadar, Salboni and Garhbeta—II block of Midnapore Sadar Sub-division to bridge langage barrier of tribal students. Eligibility and norms is given below—

Name of the Post: Para Teacher
No. of vacancies: 247 Nos. (Note — 50% of posts is reserved for female candidates)

Qualification of Candidates: Higher Secondary pass with 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST)


Eligibility Norms: Candidates must be capable of Reading, Writing and Speaking Santali language & Olchiki script.
Candidates should be residence of territorial jurisdiction of Gram Panchayat under which the Primary School is located.

Age: candidates should be between 18yrs to 45yrs as on 01/01/2012

The appointment will be in the Primary Level Schools in the block of Gopiballavpur—I, Gopiballavpur—II, Binpur—I, Binpur—II, Jhargram, Jamboni, Nayagram, Sankrail Block of Jhargram Sub-division and Midnapore sadar, Salboni and Garhbeta—II block of Midnapore Sadar Sub-division to bridge langage barrier of tribal students.

Selection steps: Candidates will be selected through Written Test on Santali Language and Ol-Chiki Script and Viva Voce. Written test will be of 30 marks out of which 5 is the qualifying marks and Viva Voce will be of 15 marks.
Academic Score of 55 Marks will be given on basis of performance in Madhyamik and Higher Secondary.

Engagement Norms: Candidates appointment as Teachers will be on contract basis. The engagement initially for the post will be of One year which will be further extended upto 3 years on basis of satisfactory performance of the candidate.

How to Apply: Candidates should prepare Application form as per prescribed format on plain paper. The Application form duly filled in own handwriting should be submitted by hand in person in the Drop-Box available in the office of Sarva Siksha Mission, Paschim Medinipur, Khudiram Parikalpana Bhawan (Ground Floor), Paschim Medinipur Zilla Parishad.
