Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, is recruiting 598 candidates for Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts of – Sister, Jr. Technician (Lab), Jr. Technician (X-Ray) and Operation Theatre Assistant. PGIMER INVITES APPLICATION FOR 568 JR. TECH. (LAB), JR. TECH. (X-RAY) AND OPERATION THEATRE ASSIST. LAST DATE – 05/01/2015
1. Sister Grade-II: 468 Nos. (Gen—232; SC—70; ST—41; OBC—125)
Qualification: Matriculation or its equivalent and Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery from a recognized Institution or equivalent.
Candidates shall be a registered ‘A’ grade Nurse and midwife with a State Nursing Council.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs.4600/-.
2. Junior Technician (Lab): 78 Nos. (Gen—33; SC—16; ST—03; OBC—25)
Qualification: B.Sc. Medical Lab. Technology OR B.Sc. with Diploma in Medical Lab. Technology.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs.4200/-
3. Junior Technician (X-Ray): 33 Nos. (Gen—17; SC—05; ST—02; OBC—09)
Qualification: B.Sc. Medical Technology (X-ray) / B.Sc. Medical Technology Radiology / B.Sc. Medical Technology Radio-diagnosis/B.Sc. Medical Technology Radio-diagnosis & Imaging Technology.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs.4200/-.
4. Operation Theatre Assistant: 19 Nos. (Gen—13; SC–2; OBC—4)
Qualification: B.Sc. Medical Technology (Operation Theatre / Anaesthesia).
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs.2800/-.
Age Limit: Minimum 18yrs and maximum 30yrs as on last date of receipt of application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination. Exact Date of Examination and centers of examination will be uploaded on PGI website i.e. — www.pgimer.edu.in, in due course. The Examination will be held in Chandigarh (Tricity) however candidates who have applied earlier (against advertisement No.PGI/RC/027/2014 dated 25.6.2014) will sit in Chandigarh, Delhi and Bangaluru as per their choice made during submission of online application.

Application Fee: Candidates will require to pay Application Fee of Rs.1000/- (Rs.500 for SC/ST candidates) through any branch of State Bank of India by means of Fee Payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the PGIMER’s website.
After deposition of Application Fee, candidates must upload the fee challan on PGI Website. Please follow the instruction outlined in the officially released advertisement (See PDF below).
