PLATOON COMMANDER
No. of Vacancies: 35 Nos. (Male- 25 posts (UR-13, OBC/ MOBC-06, SC-02, ST(H)-01, ST(P)-03) and Female- 10 posts (UR-05, OBC/ MOBC-02, SC-01, ST(H)-01, ST(P)-01))
Educational Qualification: i) Must be a Graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College/ Institutions.
ii) NCC ‘B’ Certificate OR Home Guards Training Certificate.
iii) Candidate must be ordinarily a resident of Assam.
Note:- The persons having graduate degree but not possessing NCC ‘B’ Certificate OR Home Guards training Certificate are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 38 years as on 01/01/2020.
Pay Scale: Rs.14000 — Rs.49000
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC/ MOBC category.
The posts are under Directorate of Civil Defence and Home Guards. Both Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 162.56 cm (160.02 cm for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 80 cm (76 cm for ST); Chest (expanded) — 85 cm (81 cm for ST); Weight — Proportionate to height as per medical standard.
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 154.94 cm (152.40 cm for ST candidates); Weight — Proportionate to height as per medical standard.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test, Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Computer Proficiency and Extra Curricular Activities.
