1. POST GRADUATE TEACHER (PGT)
No. of Vacancies: 128 Nos. (UR-64, ST-29, SC-20, SEBC-15. Out of which, 05 posts are reserved for PWD & 05 posts for ESM)
Subject wise vacancies:
i) Physics: 26 posts
ii) Chemistry: 26 posts
iii) Biology: 26 posts
iv) Computer Science: 24 posts
v) Mathematics: 26 posts
Educational Qualification:
i) Must have a Master’s Degree in the subject concerned from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
OR
Must have possessed two years Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc Course from Regional College of Education NCERT in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
ii) B.Ed or equivalent degree recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi as equivalent with B.Ed from a recognized University.
iii) Diploma or Degree in Computer Application is desirable qualification subject ti production of certificate in support of above qualification obtained from a recognized University/ College/ Institution.
Other Eligibility:
i) The candidate must be able to read, write and speak Odia.
ii) The candidate must have:-
a) Passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject, or
b) Passed High School Certificate or equivalent examination in Odia as a subject, or
c) Passed in Odia as a subject in the final examination of Class VII or above, or
d) Passed a test in Odia in Middle School Standard conducted by the Department of the School & Mass Education of the Govt. office of the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01/01/2019. Reserved Category candidates from the states other than Odisha will be treated as General Category candidates.
Pay Scale: Rs.44,900/-
The vacancies are for the newly created one Mega Urban Educational Complex- Biju Pattnaik Adarsha Bidyalaya/ 14 Ekalavya Model Residential Schools and 10 Kalinga Model Residential Schools functioning under ST & SC Development Department. The posts are Temporary and likely to be made Permanent.
The selected candidates will be on Probation for two years.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-Serviceman and 10 years for PWD category.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Viva Voce Test.
The Written Examination will be held at Cuttack. It may also be held at Bhubaneswar/ Balasore/ Berhampur/ Sambalpur depending on the number of candidates.
