1. POSTAL ASSISTANT/ SORTING ASSISTANT
No. of Vacancies: 89 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) 10+2 Standard or 12th class pass from a recognized University/ Board.
ii) The candidates will be required to furnish Certificate of Basic Computer Training from recognized Computer Training Institute/ Central/ State Govt./ University/ Boards. The requirement of Basic Computer knowledge certificate will be relaxable in cases where a candidate has studied Computer as a subject in Matriculation or Class XII or higher educational qualification.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 31-12-2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.25500 — Rs.81100
2. POSTMAN
No. of Vacancies: 65 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) 12th Standard pass from a recognized Board.
ii) Knowledge of local language (i.e. Tamil). The candidate should have studied local language at least upto 10th Standard.
iii) The candidates will be required to furnish Certificate of Basic Computer Training from recognized Computer Training Institute/ Central/ State Govt./ University/ Boards. The requirement of Basic Computer knowledge certificate will be relaxable in cases where a candidate has studied Computer as a subject in Matriculation or Class XII or higher educational qualification.
iv) Candidate should have a valid license of two wheeler or light motor vehicle.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 31-12-2019.

3. MULTI TASKING STAFF
No. of Vacancies: 77 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) 10th Standard pass from a recognized Board.
ii) Knowledge of local language (i.e. Tamil) of the concerned Postal Circle/ Division. The candidate should have studied local language at least upto 10th Standard.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 31-12-2019.

i) First preference: Candidates who have represented the country in an International competition with the clearance of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports.
ii) Second preference: Candidates who have represented a State/ Union Territory in the Senior or Junior Level National Championships Organized by the National Sports Federation recognized bt the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports or National Games organized by the Indian Olympic Association and have won medals or positions up to 3rd place.
iii) Third Preference: Candidates who have represented a University in an Inter-University competition conducted by Association of Indian Universities/ Inter-University Sports Board and have won medals or positions up to 3rd place in finals.
iv) Fourth preference: Candidates who have represented the State Schools in the National Sports/ Games for Schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation and have won medals or positions up to 3rd place.
v) Fifth preference: Candidates who have been awarded National Awards in physical efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive.
vi) Sixth preference: Candidates who have represented a State/ Union Territory/ University/ State School Teams at the levels (ii) to (iv) above but could not win a medal ir position in the same order or preference.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for SC/ST and 05 years for others. Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
The vacancies are against Sports Quota, 2019 in Tamilnadu Circle. Only Meritorious Sportspersons are eligible to apply for the above posts.
The selected candidates will be on Probation for two years.
