ASSISTANT ENGINEER TRAINEES
No. of Vacancies: 150 Nos. (UR-77, OBC-40, SC-22, ST-11)
Discipline wise vacancies:
i) Electrical: 100 posts (UR-51, OBC-27, SC-15, ST-07)
ii) Electronics: 20 posts (UR-11, OBC-05, SC-02, ST-02)
iii) Civil: 20 posts (UR-10, OBC-05, SC-04, ST-01)
iv) Computer Science: 10 posts (UR-05, OBC-03, SC-01, ST-01)
Educational Qualification:
i) For Electrical: Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) in Electrical/ Electrical (Power) / Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering/ Power Engineering (Electrical) with minimum 65% marks or equivalent CGPA from recognized University/ Institute.
ii) For Electronics: Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) in Electronics / Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Electronics & Electrical Communication / Telecommunication Engg with minimum 65% marks or equivalent CGPA from recognized University/ Institute.
iii) For Civil: Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) in Civil Engineering with minimum 65% marks or equivalent CGPA from recognized University/ Institute.
iv) For Computer Science: Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) in Computer Science/ Computer Engg./ Information Technology with minimum 65% marks or equivalent CGPA from recognized University/ Institute.
Essential: Candidates having valid GATE 2017 are only eligible. GATE score of 2016 or prior or GATE 2018 is not valid.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 31.12.2016
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 24500/- per month.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through GATE 2017 Score, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
The candidates selected for the post will be on Training for a period of One year. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Assistant Engineers and placed in the pay scale of Rs. 20600-46500/-.
