1. PRINCIPALS
No. of Vacancies: 158 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Arts, Science, Commerce or Engineering in any stream from a recognized university or institution with minimum 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST, OBC, BC and PH categories).
Should have passed Degree of Bachelor of Education from a recognized university or institution except in case of persons holding the posts of Vocational Masters or Vocational Lecturer or Computer Masters or Computer Faculty Teachers.
Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard is essential.
Experience: Should possess teaching experience for a minimum period of three years on the post of a teacher in any Government School under the control of the Director (Means Director of Public Instructions, Punjab)
Age Limit: Minimum 18yrs and maximum 37yrs
Pay Scale: Rs.15600 — Rs.39100
2. HEAD MASTER/ HEAD MISTRESSES
No. of Vacancies: 311 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Should have passed Graduation with minimum fifty-five per cent (55%) marks from a recognized university or institution.
Should have passed Degree of Bachelor of Education from a recognized university or institution except in case of persons working to the posts of Vocational Masters or Vocational Lecturer or Computer Masters or Computer Faculty as per University Grants Commission Guidelines.
Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard is essential.
Experience: Should possess teaching experience for a minimum period of three years against the post of a teacher in any Government School under the control of the Director (Means Director of Public Instructions, Punjab).
Age Limit: Minimum 18yrs and maximum 37yrs

3. BLOCK PRIMARY EDUCATION OFFICER
No. of Vacancies: 75 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree with minimum fifty per cent (50%) marks from a recognized university or institution and should have passed two year Elementary Teacher’s Training course from a recognized
university or institution or two year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed) as per guidelines of the National Council for Teacher’s Education or Bachelor Degree in Education (B.Ed) from a recognized university or institution as per guidelines of the University Grants Commission.
Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard is essential.
Experience: Should possess teaching experience of working as Primary School Teacher for a minimum period of three years in any Government School under the control of the Director ( Director of Public Instructions, Punjab).
Age Limit: Minimum 18yrs and maximum 37yrs
Pay Scale: Rs.10300 — Rs.34800
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test and Interview.
