ASSAM AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY (AAU) WILL CONDUCT WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR 09 POSTS OF PROJECT ASSOCIATE (FISHERY), PROJECT SCIENTIST (IPM/ POST HARVEST) AND ASSISTANT PROJECT SCIENTIST (SEED/ AGRONOMY/ PH/ GIS). WALK-IN DATE — 30/09/2019
1. PROJECT ASSOCIATE (FISHERY)
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (AAU- on various locations of Assam)
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Fisheries Science (M.F.Sc) from any recognized University/ Institution.
Experience: At least 02 years experience.
Remuneration: Rs.4.80 lakh to Rs.6.18 lakhs per year.
2. PROJECT SCIENTIST (IPM)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (OPIU- APART, AAU, Jorhat)
Educational Qualification: M.Sc (Agriculture) in Plant Protection/ Plant Pathology/ Entomology or a closely related field.
Experience: Sufficient professional experience in management of rice pests and diseases, preferably through IPM and IDM practices respectively.
Remuneration: Rs.4.80 lakh to Rs.5.83 lakhs per year.
3. PROJECT SCIENTIST (POST HARVEST)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (OPIU- APART, AAU, Jorhat)
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Agriculture Engineering or related field.
Experience: Sufficient professional experience on rice post-harvest equipment and processes and its efficient use.
Remuneration: Rs.4.80 lakh to Rs.5.83 lakhs per year.
4. ASSISTANT PROJECT SCIENTIST (SEED/ AGRONOMY/ PH)
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (AAU- on various locations of Assam)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Agriculture Engineering or Rural Development or related field.
Experience: Sufficient working experience in the required field including basic knowledge of agriculture, extension techniques and rice value chain.
Remuneration: Rs.3.6 lakh to 4.37 lakhs per year.
5. ASSISTANT PROJECT SCIENTIST (GIS)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (OPIU- APART, AAU, Jorhat)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field. However, preference will be given to candidates having degree in GIS/ Remote Sensing related fields.
Experience: Sufficient experience in handling GIS/ Remote Sensing related work in any public/ private sector organization.
Remuneration: Rs.3.6 lakh to 4.37 lakhs per year.
The posts are under Assam Agribusiness and Rural Transformation Project (APART) on Contractual basis.
