Indian Statistical Institute (ISI Kolkata) is recruiting 06 Project Linked Person. The vacancies are in the following research projects titled (1) “Development of Advanced Machine Learning Tools for Multi-modal Image-assisted Diagnostics of Infectious Respiratory Diseases”; (2) “Digital Restoration and Reconstruction of Indian Heritage Artefacts with Focus on Murals, Manuscripts and Sculptures using Big Data Technology”; and (3) “Information access from document images of Indian languages” in the Electronics and Communication Sciences Unit (ECSU) of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata. The candidates will be appointed on Temporary basis initially for a period of Six (06) months (for Project 1 and 2) and upto 31st March, 2021 (for Project 3), which may be extended later/ terminated earlier based on the performance of the candidates and/ or availability of the required funds. Educational Qualification:
i) For Project 1 and 2:- M.E./ M.Tech. in Computer Science/ Electronics Engineering/ Electrical Engineering with good academic record, M.Sc. in Computer Science/ Statistics or equivalent, final year final semester students can also apply.
ii) For Project 3:- Either Ph.D. (submitted/ awarded) OR M.E/ M.Tech./ M.Sc. in Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics/ Mathematics or related discipline with at least 02 years’ research experience in image processing/ computer vision related subjects.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on 01/11/2020.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.28000 — Rs.35000 per month for candidates with M.Sc/ M.E/ M.Tech Degree and Rs.39000 — Rs.50000 per month for candidates with Ph.D.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Women/ PWD category as per Govt. norms.
