Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is recruiting eligible candidates for 07 posts of Project Scientist and Project Assistant. The vacancies are for the DST funded Project entitled “Assessment and Monitoring of Climate Change Effects on Wildlife Species and Ecosystems for Developing Adaptation and Mitigation Strategies in the Indian Himalayan Region”. The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis for a period of 02 (two) months which is likely to be extended. WILDLIFE INSTITUTE OF INDIA (WII) WILL CONDUCT WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR 07 POSTS OF PROJECT SCIENTIST AND PROJECT ASSISTANT. WALK-IN DATE — 01/07/2019

 

1. PROJECT SCIENTIST (TERRESTRIAL ECOLOGY, AQUATIC ECOLOGY, SPATIAL ECOLOGY)
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun)
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Wildlife Sciences/ Zoology/ Remote Sensing & GIS/ with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University with 03 years experience.
OR
Ph.D. in any of the above fields.
Desirable: i) Expertise/ knowledge in terrestrial/ aquatic ecosystems, stream ecology, spatial analysis and ecological modelling, climatic change analysis and multiscale modelling and (ii) Experience in the Himalayan region.
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.50,000/- per month.

 

2. PROJECT ASSISTANT (MAMMALS, INVERTEBRATES/ MICRO FLORA)
No. of Vacancies: 04 Nos. (Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun and field sites in the Indian Himalayan Region)
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Biological Sciences.
Desirable: i) Experience/ interest in field/ lab dealing with flora and fauna, data entry, analysis, report compilation and writing and (ii) Field experience in the Himalaya.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.22,000/- per month.

 

The vacancies are for the DST funded Project entitled “Assessment and Monitoring of Climate Change Effects on Wildlife Species and Ecosystems for Developing Adaptation and Mitigation Strategies in the Indian Himalayan Region”. The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis for a period of 02 (two) months which is likely to be extended.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Scrutiny of Documents followed by Interview.
